Historically unprecedented weaponization of guvt against a political candidate.   The STASI left wingers on full display for all to see.

People vote for Trump, not because they like him… but because he pisses the Demo-Commies swamp off.  The ultimate  ANTI-ESTABLISHMENT vote…. Trump.

I knew I would see one in my liberal Blue sky island eventually… pickup truck tailgate with a sticker:

TRUCK FUMP          (Just above the Biden-Harris sticker)

Now we get to watch what passes for ‘New York Justice’.   Long popcorn.

Easy to see what the goal is

For the Trump indictment…..

(From ZeroHedge)…….

That’s because the case won’t go away. It’s illegitimate and political, but it’s here to stay for the time being. Don’t be surprised if the trial date is set for the first half of 2024. And don’t understate the danger to Trump, who will face a jury of Biden voters. Biden won Manhattan 86.7% to 12.3% according to the New York Times. The jury of Trump’s peers will be friendly to the prosecution. That’s all the Manhattan DA might need to secure a conviction. Trump could very well win on appeal but the damage – which carries national repercussions – might already have been done.

And that’s the whole point of this dirty scheme.

Grand Jury no longer grand

Maya – I really look forward to the train pix as well

Posted by Alex Valdor @ 17:31 on March 30, 2023

I loved train travel . I accompanied my mother from Montreal to Vancouver in Pullman sleepers in 1942 to visit her brother and my grandmother . My first taste of sugar was in the dining car at breakfast . My mother was not well one morning and the porter offered to take me to the dining car for breakfast so that she could settle her stomach . ” what does the boy eat ? ”
” Just Oatmeal porridge and cream is fine .” BTW I had never seen a person of color before that trip .
We were seated and my porridge arrived . He put cream over it , then a spoonful of some white stuff that was in a bowl on the table was sprinkled on top . It was war time , sugar was rationed and rare . Then he took a spoonful and stuck it in my mouth . WOWEE WOW !!! Where has THIS stuff been all my life ?!!
After that I thought all black people were like gods .
My dad saw us off at the start of the trip and returned to his work in Labrador helping to finish the military airstrip there (Goose Bay) – the jumping off airstrip for all North American military aircraft headed for the European theater. My father was tall and we had come down from Kirkland Lake by trains pulled by regular steam engines , but when that transcontinental train pulled past us and stopped so my mother and I as well as others could board , the locomotive was massive! The drive wheels were taller than my father ! – ( for speed crossing the prairies ). No diesel locomotives in that era .

Three years later we travelled to my mother’s birthplace on Cape Breton Island , Nova Scotia by rail .
By the time I started school I had seen both the Pacific and the Atlantic thanks to steam locomotives .

If you can’t hold it in your hand

I don’t think it will help their behavior and culture of crime because of their governments who keep them in poverty but SA plans or intends to switch currency trades to the new currency Russia et all are intending to roll out.

Looking ahead to tomorrow and the PCE

Posted by Buygold @ 13:40 on March 30, 2023

Since the PCE is supposedly the piece of eco data that matters most to the Fed. I think the talking heads are expecting it to be lighter than expected, which should spark an everything rally except for the dollar. What’s the downside risk? I guess that would be a hotter inflation number. If so, we probably take a hit and given where the RSI’s (around 70) are on some of our shares and gold, I could see a pretty good smash. I’m feeling like $1950 is going to hold.

Reportedly the gas and oil that China is selling comes from Russia. They are playing the middleman and making some bank.

China has lots of big economic problems. Keeping all those people employed and happy is a big one. Like you mentioned, political control, interferes with the smooth working of their economy. The more control the worse it works.

How many empty buildings and cities do they have there?

CHINA SELLING LNG ?  They must have a shitload of energy in reserves …it  makes more sense for them to store excess paper money reserves in the form of physical reserves ,but this suggests their economy is cratering and physical energy needs have collapsed and they need more economic stimulus ,in other words some inflation !!!! to keep 1.2 billion employed ! Thats a bigger threat to the CCP  than the energy needs ..Political needs come first  and that s where Chinas weakness is ! Political control comes first ….Higher unemployment will kill the communist party.

Mexican president proposes tougher mining laws, shorter concessions

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:50 on March 30, 2023

The Mexican government’s proposed overhaul of mining laws, including shorter concessions and tighter rules for permits, drew a quick warning from industry leaders who fear it could undermine the sector’s growth prospects.

President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador offered the draft reform on Tuesday to lawmakers in the lower house of Congress, which would sharply reduce the length of mining concessions to 15 from 50 years.

Jobless Claims & Revised GDP

Posted by Buygold @ 9:00 on March 30, 2023

Jobless claims were flat for the week 198K vs. est. 197K.

GDP came in at 2.6% vs. 2.7% est. – this was the third revision. I wonder why they don’t just wait until they have the complete numbers instead of issuing revisions.

Anyhoo, nothing market moving there. Rates are up 2 bips. USD lending support down almost 1/2%

Oil bouncing back. SM almost looks like it’s back on cruise control to the upside. Apparently, the SM is up in April the year before a presidential election year a high percentage of the time. Nothing would surprise me, especially if rates and the USD start to fall.

Interview with ED Dowd
His research is very good. He fills in the gaps if you don’t have time to watch everything going on.
Touches a lot of basis like the backed currency Brics is working on , the rising dollar, the affect on credit contraction esp to foreign buyers, the market, gold and other possible black market options. If we don’t have a seat at the table with a debt crisis dollar collapse, they’ll be closed door deals already in the making and already signed by Biden , their digital currency they’ll use for control, they’ll be under ground currency popping up. I’d rather see the seat at the table. The stats with the Covid vax and more. A scary chart that showed the last time it happened was the Great Depression.
How the Fed has now lost control. He pretty much predicts what is predictable which way things can go but we are still heading for a recession.

Nice action in silver this am, definitely leading in the metals category. Never know, maybe SLV is about to challenge the upper part of the band, about $22.50 or so. Be nice if we could break through it and head toward $28.

I once proposed that a Carbon Credit Co should be set up on Papua New Guinea, where u could buy yr own bit of forest….and if someone questioned what I was upto, invite them over to inspect their bit of forest……the only risk to them, was that Head Hunting still goes on there…….
