I have no idea how we did overall this year. I know the HUI hit 330 or so in spring, only to sell back down to 180 or so the following 6 months.
The real action starts next week, but at least we’re heading into the new year with a little upward momentum against a weak SM.
Trying to push a little higher this am against rising rates and a flat USD. The path of least resistance appears to be up.
Bitcoin had a crazy year, but is looking to close near its’ bottom.
Maybe 2023 will be our year finally?

I’m thinking Silver was the worst investment for a very long time. Supposedly it’s often a free byproduct. I gave up on it long ago n went more bullish on Gold instead after ‘08. So if everything is in reverse maybe Silver will be out performer going forward n lead the way even for gold to higher levels. Various crazy highs n crazy lows have been common lately as the system tries to right itself from abnormal to normal.

It’s stating the obvious….but the scum should want Au sub $ 1800 and are wacking us constantly….but the mkt keeps on bouncing back, that tells me there is a size buyer sub $ 1800….which I think is moving their bid up gently, looking at the odd chart formation.
Plus there is a lot of talk that the Dollar may go offered, soon/next year.

I know you’ve been bullish on silver for a while, I remember you posting you were in the last couple of weeks.
Looks like the head fake may have been a bear trap yesterday.
Gold struggling with $1810-$1820, but silver has recovered its losses from yesterday plus some, back above $24. I should have stepped up and bought some NUGT. Might still, depending on how we open.
Mr. Copper, one thing I’ve noticed is that the premiums on silver while still above 50% have come down as silver has risen. Looks like my dealer has plenty of stock and is only paying 10% above spot for eagles. I would think that would be the opposite of what we should be seeing?

I got very optimistic for Silver recently after many years of ignoring it. I think the collapse of Bitcoin FTX etc has helped pushing the little guy into silver. In other words gain popularity.
Crypto Bit coin FTX etc etc were to me, a trick, a diversion for excess money creation or like a big receptacle, or better, a huge condom, to stop Gold and Silver from getting pregnant and fat and make the US Dollar look bad.
Flat is good?
USD, Rates, pm’s and even the SM are relatively flat. I’d think the long weekend for New Year’s probably starts today. So, outside any huge news, it’s hard to see any big moves one way or another.
Silver is showing some strength up over 1%.
I’m crazy, but I do expect the HUI to hold this 220-230 area.
