I read about the garbage patch. Lots of interesting stuff. Cargo ships, and plastic bags and straws is allegedly 10%. We have to remember not to be angry at products like plastic. It’s the dumpers. Seems like the ocean cleans itself. Throws it on the beach or collects in those calm areas. If Americans stopped buying imported consumer products there would be far less cargo ships dumping.
partIn September 2019, when research revealed that much ocean plastic pollution comes from Chinese cargo ships,[45] an Ocean Cleanup spokesperson said: “Everyone talks about saving the oceans by stopping using plastic bags, straws and single-use packaging. That’s important, but when we head out on the ocean, that’s not necessarily what we find.”
