If it was the Putre , Chile quake (4.9) , it took about 15 minutes to reach Pereira , Colombia .

There was an earlier 6.0 in northern Argentina .

Update 15 minutes later – stronger aftershock , about a minute ago .

Nope , it was South of Bogotá in Lejanias , Meta , Colombia , and was a 6.0 , followed by a second one at 5.8 .

Will another 8 point plus day for the HUI augur a disaster formation for the shorts? I sure hope so!

I bought the same amount of shares at about the same price in HL and FSM years ago. FSM outperformed like crazy and now HL has been junked for better stuff. FSM feeling it’s oats! 🙂

Very, very few of us..imho. Of my friends and relatives none are invested/ speculating in precious metals or the miners. I never even mention them any more. Even amongst us goldbugs there is a world of doubt. Look at the poll that Ipso posted….many saw a lousy 2019 with calls for Gold to go to $1300 and some to $1000!

And how about our elite professional analysts…not even talking about the newsletter scammers but the good  guys like Adam H, Clive M, and Jordan Roy B.  All 3 have their flock on hold due to their extreme COTitis view…Gold is going to look just great but, you are advised to wait before buying…We are first going to collapse back to about $1400 before lift off. Wonderful stuff guys…now how many weeks and at what price will you all admit that you got it wrong?  If ever.  (rant over)  Merry Christmas!!

Had a guy who was starting up a new Edward Jones office come by the house wanting me to invest with him and wondered if I had looked at the usual suspects, MSFT, JNJ etc. I told him I couldn’t see anything in the SM that was cheap except pm stocks. To his credit, he did know of Kirkland Lake but nothing else pm was on his wish list.

If this really is the beginning of a period like 2000-01′ there should be a helluva lot of money out there that could make its way into the sector and out of some great performers of the last 10 years. Course, we’ve had a lot of false starts the last several years.
