Loading ...What I learned in psychology is that the language center of the brain starts to close at about 13. That came when they rescued a girl who was isolated by her father and bound all her life. She never learned to speak afterwards except a couple words. However I think they should not base it on this severe abuse case because it also caused emotional and sensory retardation along with physical issues from being forced to sit in a potty chair all her life and stare at a wall. The SOB father killed himself when her mother escapes which should of been day one. I do believe it starts to close in time and why it gets harder to learn a new language the older you get.
