Even on the mainland getting supplies after a storm
Or bad Quake can be a problem if local stores go down. In the Sylmar quake all the stores closed down for months. Me and some friend still teens at the time went out to pick up a bunch of dented cans of food at the stores but nothing else and after they sold the cans they closed.
One store opened after a few weeks almost a month but prices were price gouged. We had no warning to we had to get water too. I think most of us that went through the aftermath learned to always have food water on hand after that. In a quake and no water other things too including paper plates, medical supply’s and toilet paper no matter what kind of disaster. Plastic bags as waste management might be stopped from bad roads.
Only good thing about a quake provided you live through as no warning or things don’t get burnt down is that your supply’s won’t get washed away.
If you have stocks there on waste management or rebuilding they might move up.
