no bounce despite USD weakness. Shares and metals giving up gains as usual.

Nothing matters to pm’s, they are a one-way ticket to hell.

Can’t wait to see the COT’s so they can indicate absolutely nothing

Taking liability protection from lifeguards. So someone unknowingly or knowingly takes a risk and anyone going out is taking a risk they hold the life guard responsible?
I remember taking a few risks like taking a wave knowing they were choppy and not taking the last wave to ensure I wouldn’t get pounded coming back up and did two more times by back to back waves before I could get back up.
The one life guard I would suggest when he yelled at the guy to get out of the bowl should just tell him what direction to go because if panic for air sets in so might direction or not understand what he means. Running a point break when about 15 as I surfed down the beach I ran into a rip and didn’t know what it was. I just thought this is weird. I keep going forward and windup backward. It was like the whole ocean was moving back at once.
I moved out of it by deciding i went far enough anyways and had to carry my board all the way back by going back before the rip then got out. Now if you didn’t know to go sideways and someone said get out you might just keep trying to go forward.
I can imagine what it would be like in the water and might not even know how far you have to swim to the side to get out of you can’t see the waves break.
It sounded treacherous and don’t know if he would of made it out anyways but wasn’t the lifeguards fault if he couldn’t get to him.
If the city’s worries about cost put some snack bars, rental life jackets, masks and flotation devices out there or something so visitors don’t have to carry things out or might not have them due to luggage costs or didn’t think of it,

Louisiana Bans BofA, Citi From Bond Sale Over “Restrictive Gun Policies”

The blowback against bank virtue signaling has begun.

Louisiana’s state’s bond commission voted 7 to 6 Thursday to ban Bank of America and Citigroup from working on its upcoming debt sale because of the banks’ “restrictive gun policies,” the state treasury said in a statement, according to Bloomberg.

As states begin using the bond market in retaliation against Wall Street and to stick up for the Second Amendment, Bank of America and Citigroup – the two top-ranked underwriters of long-term municipal debt – stand to lose millions in muni revenue.

“I personally believe the policies of these banks are an infringement on the rights of Louisiana citizens,” Treasurer John Schroder said in a statement. “As a veteran and former member of law enforcement, I take the Second Amendment very seriously.”

Thanks for the YouTube I’ll look more into when I have time. In the meantime just have to try to avoid it which seems difficult. Also they need to look into obesity even if people aren’t eating more than they did although I think there’s a lot of reasons going on with that.
There are a lot of others who have law suits on Monsanto too and this case may set precedent and they know it.
Yes on tobacco and why like anything including vaccines you can’t trust science when it’s being paid by the culprit. Vaccine companies paying science to say its safe.
They need to look at the physiology of it and will get a clearer picture. Like abestos it needs to be studied before they put it out in the public.
Tobacco was a given pretty much if you look at the physiology cause and effect.
The short version would be it destroys and paralyzes the cilia that pushes fluids and partials out of the lungs. This causes the alveoli to become filled with fluid and cause damage including starting to pop like filling a ballon with too much water or air. This is what causes inflammation and emphysema. People will start to cough to compensate. Also the 99 or so toxins in cigarettes that can cause cell damage. We have genes called onco genes for short that can self destruct with damage. Some genes are stronger in some people and why they might not get cancer as easy as others. So you can’t argue because Grandpa didn’t get cancer you won’t either or vise versa but genetically something to pay attention to. This is the physiology compacted not just a control group of who is exposed and who isn’t. Depending on the person, the age they started getting exposed, how long, in what amounts and other factors including medication that can affect your immune system including vaccines it’s a little more complicated than that.

SEMAFO: Armed Incident in Bobo Area

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:10 on August 17, 2018

MONTREAL, Aug. 17, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — SEMAFO Inc. (SMF.TO) (SMF.ST) regrets to report that a bus transporting employees from the town of Bobo-Dioulasso to the Mana Mine in Burkina Faso was shot at by armed bandits this morning. In the exchange of fire between the policemen and bandits, one SEMAFO national employee and one sub-contractor employee lost their lives.

Operations at the Mana Mine, located 80 kilometers from the incident, are not affected. Early analysis suggests that this incident and the armed incident that occurred in the Est region six days ago are unrelated. However, the Corporation will be increasing its security measures at Mana and take appropriate steps to ensure the safety of the mine and of its employees.

The Corporation would like to express its sincere sympathy to families of the victims.

Trump administration nearing deal with Mexico on revised NAFTA — but issues with Canada remain

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:35 on August 17, 2018

The Trump administration is close to striking a deal with Mexico on a revamped North American Free Trade Agreement, analysts said, but thorny issues are yet to be resolved with Canada, the third party in the trilateral pact.

Reaching an agreement with Mexico would mark a breakthrough for the administration after a year of roller-coaster talks and tension with its longtime North American trading partners. President Trump has frequently threatened to withdraw from NAFTA, linked the renegotiations to his call for a wall along the U.S.-Mexican border and slapped tariffs on Mexican and Canadian steel to apply pressure to make concessions.

Hi Goldie, I am familiar with the court case and payout which will be appealed, so I would not be spending that money yet. This case really does not prove the long term effect of glyphosate use in agriculture as a pesticide, on general health of the population. These studies take decades to prove just like with tobacco smoking causing lung cancer and denied by tobacco industries for decades . Please watch videos on Youtube by Stephanie Seneff , she comes from scientific field, and has done a lot of research on the subject. She is making the public aware of possible longs term effect of the products containing glyphosate.

Lesions on much of his body

Johnson, 46, applied Roundup weedkiller 20 to 30 times per year while working as a groundskeeper for a school district near San Francisco, his attorneys said.
He testified that during his work, he had two accidents in which he was soaked with the product. The first accident happened in 2012.

I disagree with you comments, scientific profession does not yet know the effects of glyphosate in agriculture , as I don’t believe any institution wants to take on Monsanto/Bayer as they are global giant in supply of pesticides. Just looking at correlation between increased use of glyphosate in agriculture and  and increase in autism, from 1 in 1000 in early 70’s, to 1 in 60  currently, and what about all other deceases that may have not have been identified, as possibly attributed to glyphosate use and nobody really cares.

Modern medicine is not interested in the causes , because there is little money in it, they prefer the profit  in an attempted cures , which mostly don’t work.
