Why Wheaton Precious Metals Is Getting Into Cobalt Streaming
What’s cobalt got to do with precious metals?

Looking to invest in precious metals? Streaming companies may be the way to go. Instead of mining metals themselves, streaming companies essentially lend to miners — but instead of collecting interest, streamers receive part of the mine’s future output at a steep discount. It’s a great business model that allows streamers to both diversify revenue streams and seize unique opportunities.

The largest streaming company in the world (by revenue, not market capitalization) is Wheaton Precious Metals (NYSE:WPM). Wheaton began as a silver streaming company in 2004 under the name Silver Wheaton, but the company began seeing opportunities in gold around 2013, and in 2017 it changed its name to Wheaton Precious Metals to signify its diversification.

Just last week the company started a new chapter, announcing its first streaming deal in a third metal: cobalt.
A bet on… electric vehicles?

“I’ve owned a Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) for five years and I will never own a gas vehicle again.” That’s a quote not from Al Gore or Elon Musk, but rather Wheaton CEO Randy Smallwood. His decision to stream cobalt is exactly that: a bet on EV adoption. It’s also a bet that cobalt, which currently plays an important role in today’s EV batteries and will continue to be an important component of future battery technology.

Today just 0.67% of new car sales are electric, but that number is set to grow many times over, with some analysts anticipating EVs will make up 10-16% of new sales by 2025.
Supply concerns

Cobalt is usually mined only as a byproduct of mining operations for other metals, such as copper and nickel. So even if cobalt prices go up, supply could remain constrained if the prices of nickel and copper languish. Making things even more complicated, 55% the world’s cobalt is mined in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In March, the DRC made things harder for cobalt miners, declaring cobalt a “strategic metal” and hiking royalties to 10%, up from 2% before.
Wheatons Cobalt comes from Canadas, VALES Voisey Bay nickel mines a safe jurisdiction .

How many socialist really understand what that means. Then you have these indiscriminate open border people giving no realistic thought to what that means.
Many were in a recent descendant to one say their grandfather. Thus they feel the need to be self righteous turning into a extremist in open borders. Because their grandfather was okay which none appears to come for welfare, warfare or occupation so must everyone else. They appear to have a inability to discriminate between the difference or just how many is enough in a generational situation. Many of those jobs they took then are no longer here.
They fail to see the growing number of homelessness in cities, especially cities where politicians and judges promote open borders. In short they can’t even take care of their own and want to negativity complicate people’s lives even more by bringing in people who will drain already deficient social resources, increasing crime, and narrowing job opportunities while increasing cost of living including housing and education.
Train crash, them going full circle turning their paradise into a desperate place their ancestors left.

Nem has huge weighting in all the indeces, so capping it takes the shine off any rally elsewhere in PM shares…and the institutions always pile into it first..so any strength is a sign big money is moving in.

That is why I watch it and I am long of it.

FYI Like Bigger Caps? Take a look at RGLD $6 bil/cap 23 employees

PMs have been getting smashed and bashed for 2 years now, since summer 2016, when Trump started talking on TV. That rhetoric distorted everything. The dollar still too high for a US manufacturing and export recovery.

If anything, the stock and real estate market might dive together, cause a US economy slowdown, and the banker bozos will have to stimulate again. Lower rates or lower dollar.

Internet goes crazy about China’s new laser gun, but is it real?

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:59 on July 3, 2018

Stories about a powerful new Chinese laser assault rifle are spreading like wildfire via Twitter, following a report on the weapon’s purported capabilities. The claims made by scientists to The South China Morning Post this week were so impressive, in fact, that some say they are literally unbelievable.

How Jesse Jackson Jr. collects $138,400 a year from the federal government—[ANOTHER POVERTY PIMP WORKING HARD IN CONGRESS TO HELP HIS COMMUNITY]

Records from former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.‘s divorce case show how he has been able to collect hefty benefit checks from the federal government after serving time in prison for looting hundreds of thousands of dollars from his campaign fund.

Jackson, 51, receives about $138,400 a year — more than he made as a freshman congressman in 1995. Most of that — about $100,000 — is workers’ compensation for “bi-polar disorder” and tax-free, according to Chicago attorney Barry Schatz, who is representing Jackson in his divorce proceeding.

The rest of Jackson’s benefits are Social Security Disability Insurance payments, some of which may be taxable, Schatz said.

All and all they were recognized as a danger or possible danger and eliminated.
Skin cancer can occur anywhere on the body even under the nails. The aggressive melanoma can be the sneaky most dangerous on occurring anywhere in places you might not look and not even be dark but red even whitish.
I remember a doctor telling me while during surgery on a woman found one on her buttocks, removed it sent it to lab it was melanoma. Unfortunately it had already spread internally and she died.
