Wouldn’t that be something … to see some goober trying to drive on his mag rims after the cops spike stripped his car …

You might want to hold off a bit on that update

Hold off on that update: Windows 10 patch causes computers to crash and display the ‘blue screen of death’ each time they boot up

spot on.

wood fire + high winds = high temp (just like a bellows at a blacksmiths)

a couple weeks ago a neighbor was showing me something that looked like artwork.

It was actually molten aluminum that puddled in the ground from an RV that caught on fire.

ipso, re aluminum rims…

Posted by treefrog @ 14:38 on October 12, 2017

aluminum will melt, but mag rims (magnesium) will actually BURN!!

My thoughts are

Posted by eeos @ 14:06 on October 12, 2017

if we had Directed Energy weapons, they would have put em to use on Shorty Kim. So it was just a huge azz fire and CA is a giant desert with a shite ton of dead stuff lying around just to go up in smoke. This is the story of the desert and CA. Just waiting for the next shoe to drop all the time there.

I melt stuff in camp fires all the time too, doesn’t take a huge fire.

And if the bad guys have these weapons, they’d use them on very strategic targets first. Not random neighborhoods. They’d nail us where it would hurt the most

Lots of aluminum rims around today that melt rather easily

… or it could be that the USA has decided to wipe out the wine country.

Talked to my brother that has now been evacuated from his house in Sonoma. I thought it might be arson … so many fires breaking out. He blamed the high winds for spreading fire from place to place. 60 miles an hour winds on the night the most damage was done.

PS I don’t say that directed energy weapons don’t exist.

But the melting car rim reports

Posted by eeos @ 13:47 on October 12, 2017

are just highly unusual if not suspect, Judy Wood probably has the best collection of photos regarding a possible directed energy weapon. Are we supposed to believe that the war mongers stopped at the ICBM and nukes? They’ve been just sitting on their hands for 65 years right?

Here’s my explanation SNG

Posted by eeos @ 12:51 on October 12, 2017

These fires start small. They consumes huge amounts of oxygen and they can completely alter weather patterns. Homes are built cheap. EFIS insulation systems are crap. People don’t want to pay for traditional 3 coat stucco systems (or some other fire resistive exterior system) , because they cost a fortune compared to some BS open celled foam insulation system with some plastic color smeared on it (EFIS). Smart architects can design fire resistive structures, but the code surely doesn’t have stringent requirements at this time. Yes there are minimal property setbacks that help contain firespread, and they also have rated wall language if any part of your building resides into the setback.  If I build in CA, I want equake and fire-resistive qualities. This included proper siding, metal roof, poured in place concrete foundation system. It takes smartly vented attics, so no sparks can get in too.

You tell me….

Posted by silverngold @ 12:11 on October 12, 2017

………how the cars and homes are individually torched and burned to the ground with heat enough to actually melt the car wheels, but none of the trees are burned or even show damage, and the house next door shows no damage at all? These fires seem to be individually targeted and resemble the weird fires we had all over BC this year, and also the Ft Mac Murray fires last year. Skip the first 1.5 minutes if you want to go right to the California fires and their weird occurrences.  Bizarre!!

UNESCO

Posted by Buygold @ 11:43 on October 12, 2017

I’m all for getting out of anything related to the UN. I suspect that the anti-Israel bias is also by extension an anti-US bias as the tail wags the US dog.

We don’t need the UN – we need to stay out of everyone’s business.

US withdraws from UNESCO, cites ‘continuing anti-Israel bias’

Posted by ipso facto @ 11:00 on October 12, 2017

The US State Department confirmed the country is officially withdrawing from UNESCO, the UN’s cultural body it helped found in 1945, citing “anti-Israeli bias” and the need for reform. The move will take effect on December 31, the US announced.

“This decision was not taken lightly, and reflects US concerns with mounting arrears at UNESCO, the need for fundamental reform in the organization, and continuing anti-Israel bias at UNESCO,” the State Department said in a Thursday statement cited by Reuters.

Washington will remain in the organization “as a non-member observer state in order to contribute US views, perspectives and expertise,” the statement said. There has been no immediate comment from the US government.

Earlier, Washington officials told AP that the United States is withdrawing from UNESCO after repeated criticism of resolutions that the Trump administration perceived as anti-Israeli.

Fortunately most of the grapes have already been harvested and likely the same for outdoor weed. You can bet that the growers in the area who haven’t harvested yet are busy beavers now!

Re the Dope farms

As tragic as it is, fire is about the only thing that will kill a dope plant….they are as strong as any plant I have ever seen…..just add a bit of water and plenty of sun and bam up they shoot.

As for Billary…U do know Wanka has a major crush on the slag….everyone has tried to talk him out of it, but he just won’t listen.

Beyond me why Trump hasn’t put her monster arse in jail…90 % of his problems would disappear, the moment they close the cell door on the pig.

The Northern California wildfires this week have destroyed at least seven marijuana farms just months before the state begins licensing legal sales of cannabis, making it the “worst year on record” for loss of crops, an industry leader said Tuesday.

Many growers lost their homes and farms in the Redwood Complex fire in Mendocino County, the Atlas fire in Napa County and the Stubbs and Nuns fires in Sonoma County, according to Hezekiah Allen, executive director of the California Growers Assn.

“The October 2017 firestorm is having an extremely severe impact on our communities,” Allen said. “It is the worst year on record, and the worst year I can remember, in terms of farms lost. We have been able to confirm seven farms lost, but we expect the number to be much higher as more information comes in.”

The loss is especially severe this year because many growers had spent their life savings getting local permits and preparing crops for state licensure and sales scheduled to begin Jan. 2, Allen said.

In addition, he said, marijuana growers do not qualify for crop insurance or federal emergency relief funds.

all true. The VIX is easily one of the most manipulated instrument as well.

So, GLD is a couple bucks shy of the 50 day which is probably $1300, no way it gets breached this week.

By the end of the day though, the SM will set new highs

I’m shocked too !

Weinstein Collateral Damage: The Obamas

Barack Obama, whom his campaign bundler Harvey Weinstein once introduced to Hollywood elites as “the Paul Newman of American presidents,” came out with his “shocked, shocked” statement now that Weinstein is exposed and down and every celebrity and his brother is making Weinstein-was-a-pig statements for the press.

From The Hill:

“Michelle and I have been disgusted by the recent reports about Harvey Weinstein,” the former president and former first lady Michelle Obama said in the joint statement.

“Any man who demeans and degrades women in such fashion needs to be condemned and held accountable, regardless of wealth or status,” they said. “We should celebrate the courage of women who have come forward to tell these painful stories. And we should work to build a culture – including by empowering our girls and teaching our boys decency and respect – so we can make such behavior less prevalent in the future.”

It’s as if Obama never gummed up traffic in Los Angeles during rush hour to raise campaign funds and schmooze with celebrities of Weinstein’s ilk over the long course of his presidency.

Obama is more than a little rooted in the world of Hollywood, starting with the fact that he shows up in Hollywood and its redoubts quite regularly – so regularly that an Obama visit to those parts is known as an “Obamajam.”  He’s believed to have been nosing around to buy a property in tony Rancho Mirage among the Hollywood elites for his post-presidency.  He also shipped his eldest daughter Malia to work as an intern for Weinstein’s Weinstein Company.  He’s seen his closest campaign aides take positions in Hollywood.  Oh, and at least one engaged in a little sexism of his own.  Meanwhile, Michelle Obama called Weinstein “a good friend” and a “wonderful human being,” which shows how tight the Obamas were with Weinstein himself.

So now we are expected to believe that the Obamas were “disgusted”?  Where were they when all this was going on, and why are they only speaking out about it now that Weinstein is down and not in a position to hold Democratic fundraisers anymore?  And with all their post-presidential millions, why aren’t they giving any of it back?

As for the Obamas’ “any man who demeans and degrades women” claim that such people should be held accountable, that rings hollow, too.  Since when has President Obama ever held anyone accountable?  His administration was one big unaccountability circus, which was a big reason why President Trump got elected.  From the corrupt VA officials who lined their pockets while veterans died to the monstrous IRS officials who targeted political dissidents to the gun-runners of Fast and Furious to the EPA officials who used false phony illegal emails to the secretary of state who housed a secret, illegal private server in some guy’s bathtub to the slimy political operatives who engineered Benghazi and all its mendacious talking points and phony blame-casting, as well as the Iran deal and the one-way rapprochement with Cuba…trust us, Obama has never held anyone accountable.

What it looks like is Weinstein no longer being useful.  And despite Obama’s post-presidency millions, he’s not returning Weinstein’s campaign dollars.

The rest of the Obamas’ blather, about building a culture, rings hollow, too.  Up until now, Weinstein was the building of the culture, with his Democratic fundraising, his politically correct movies, his Hollywood values, his recognition from the Democratic elites.  When Obama talks about building a culture, his chief agent has always been Weinstein.  And incredibly, he allowed his daughter Malia to work in Weinstein’s company and its milieu as if he’d never heard about what kind of a guy Weinstein was.  The whole claim about culture-building reeks of hypocrisy.

It’s pretty interesting that the Obama statement on Weinstein came so late in the day.  All it meant was that Weinstein was a millstone around the Obamas’ neck, given their grand plans for their wealthy, star-studded post-presidency lifestyle plans, and their desire to preserve the Obama legacy, now that everyone else has condemned Weinstein already.

They’re not looking too brave in this pusillanimous statement of outrage.

Hillary “i was shocked” I Tell Ya HAHAHA

During an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, portions of which were broadcast on Wednesday’s edition of CNN’s “OutFront,” former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton denounced Harvey Weinstein’s behavior and announced that money she received from him would be part of the 10% of her income she donates to charity every year.
