His name was Billings , and his patent was picked up by some Japanese company a few years later . It was a great idea for mines running engines underground , and for forklifts in closed warehouses , as the exhaust was pure water vapor .
Billings became a multi-millionaire in his mid-20’s as a result , but ran onto rougher times soon afterward , if memory serves me correctly .
