Lith ion batteries are completely DESTROYED by discharging them to full discharge depth. This is the best way to kill a lith-ion battery. See the chart. If you discharge Lith-ion to 50% DOD on a daily basis, this is a life of 15.89 years. Lith-ion batteries can also take and deliver huge charges. They can deliver more amps than than they can take in charging by about a 4 fold.

ADP Reports 253,000 New Jobs in May; ‘Rip-Roaring’ Growth

Estimates for May private payroll growth were way too low, indicating estimates for the government’s jobs report due out Friday may need to be revised higher.

Wow on blown up battery. Those battery cars are not the way anyway. Imagine a power out, the price, and problems. They can help but not the solution. Plus what are they doing with them after they go bad? Can they be totally recycled? There are some beautiful places in Canada. Never been there though. Hope it doesn’t get ruined by that socialist PM over there.

Sorry for the battery rant , but this has been a bad battery day

Posted by Alex Valdor @ 21:11 on June 1, 2017

My wife came in this afternoon carrying her laptop , saying that it would not start up and that it was ‘tippy’. I turned it over and found that the battery had exploded – thank goodness it was not being charged , and there was no fire , but huge pressure had built up inside with enough force to bend the case .battery-2

trump pulls out of paris climate agreement…

Posted by treefrog @ 16:29 on June 1, 2017

the whole deal was illegal to begin with. the constitution mandates that treaties require the consent of the senate. obozo evaded the law by calling this an “agreement” instead of a “treaty.” if an international agreement isn’t a treaty, then what is it? obozo had the right to agree as an individual, but no authority to agree on the nation’s behalf.

“THEY” All know (not the general public) that we can’t pay and lose any more. To continue the past would simply bankrupt the entire USA and the US Dollar, and take down the rest of the global economy. No country would be spared. All those Bonds stocks etc denominated in US Dollars, would be worthless.

The $19 Trillion national debt and inadequate tax revenue is hanging over the whole planet.

Stock Market On Highs, with 10 Year Bond Interest Rates Falling Since Dec 2016.

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 15:06 on June 1, 2017

Stocks And Bonds. They say stock market buyers want to get or MAKE money and Bond buyers already HAVE money.

These falling interest rates are an ominous signal of some kind, like a future deflation. TPTB have been trying like hell to get achieve a so-called 2% inflation.

The Stock market may be having a placebo effect since Trump started campaigning last summer in July? Even the interest rates started higher with placebo effect July to Dec. But rates are falling since Dec. One of the two markets are wrong. They say the Bond market dwarfs all other markets.

The 50 MA is rolling over, and just might cross the 200 MA soon. There is nothing wrong being positioned in cash and gold together.

Deutsche Bank Calculates The “Fair Value Of Gold” And The Answer Is…

Tyler Durden's picture

Over the past three years, gold has found itself in an odd place: while it still remains the ultimate “safety” trade and store of value should everything go to hell following social and monetary collapse, when it comes to “coolness” it has been displaced by various cryptocurrencies, all of which have vastly outperformed the yellow metal in recent months. Meanwhile, central banks continue to pressure the price of gold to avoid a repeat of 2011 when gold nearly broke out above $2,000, putting the fate world’s “reserve currency” increasingly under question. As a result, gold has traded in a rather somnolent fashion, range bound between $1,100 and $1,300 over the last few years, failing to break out on either side.

But is that a fair price for gold?

The scale we apply ranges from -20 to 20, with each point accounting for USD10/oz. This is the minimum and maximum range of the deviation. The current gap of USD80/oz or 8 on our scale would suggest an above average sense of risk or uncertainty in the market. If we apply the DB house view forecasts at year end for the US 10 year bond yield of 2.75%, a US 10 year break even of 2.15%, an S&P year-end target of 2600, IMF gold purchases of 5 tonnes and a USD up 7.6% versus the broad trade weighted basket, then gold should trade all the way down to USD1,031/oz. Even if we increase our risk perception index from 8 to 12, this brings us back to USD1,150/oz by year end. In the near term however, our US rates economist Dominic Konstam sees scope for the US 10-year bond yield to fall to 2% (before rising to 2.75% by year-end), as falling excess liquidity points to softer US growth momentum ahead. If we apply a US 10 year bond yield of 2%, a USD down 2% from current levels and the S&P500 down 5% from current levels, our fair value model points to a gold price of USD1,320/oz.
