brit vote

Posted by treefrog @ 23:23 on June 8, 2017

the tories just pulled ahead of labour after trailing all evening.  just guessing, we may see a “hung parliament” – with no party in majority.   the tories or labour will have to cobble together a coalition with one or more of the minor parties.  we continue to live in interesting times.

It’s a mucho dangerous situation. Not liking what’s going on!

ipso, as much as the lilly livered Saudis deserve to be ass kicked, not going to happen. Uncle Sam have them covered as DJT gave them permission to steal the Pars field.

Posted by macroman3 @ 22:25 on June 8, 2017

No way they’re going to get their asses kicked by the Turks and Iranians. As much as those two too deserve it, they ain’t taking on US/Israel, without WWIII Russia and China backing.

I can’t keep track of the frenemies without a handicapped score card.

When did you know? You’ve smoked us out!

actually not my play on words.

Sweet song …

Lots of craziness in the ME right now. Soon … Turkish soldiers arrive in Qatar … tanks on the way.

What happens if the Saudis and their Gulf allies are getting their asses kicked by the Turks and Iranians?

Oh ipso, you taking a page outta Maya’s playbook and baiting me?

Hi Farmboy

It’s all over the place…..Exit Poll is saying No majority for ANYONE !!!!

But rumours are the Exit Poll assumes most UKIP Voters are going Labour….that is a crazy assumption, but it keeps certain parts of the MSM, like BBC happy ….same games as yr MSM etc…in the tank for Commies …puke!!!!.

Mkt reacting sterling being hit …it is a gift down here, if Poll wrong and I think it is……but not betting hard as, have not followed the election that hard, as assumed a slam dunk for MAy.

2 hours from now will have better real results in.

farmboy,

Mongolia Presidential hopeful urges more state control in mining

Posted by ipso facto @ 17:17 on June 8, 2017

ULAANBAATAR – A leading candidate for Mongolia’s Presidency has called for greater state control of projects like the giant Oyu Tolgoi copper/gold mine run by Rio Tinto, making mining and foreign investment central issues in the election campaign.

The landlocked North Asian country of three-million people goes to the polls on June 26, just a month after securing a $5.5-billion International Monetary Fund-led bailout to lift the economy out of a balance of payments crisis

The American Press is completely focused on the Comey Stuff. Hard to get any news on how the vote is going on your side of the pond. Thanks, Farmboy

Either Or…

Comey is either the most weak kneed wuss we ever had in the office as Director if the FBI, OR, he is an American Hero. Today he threw the Clinton’s and their hedgemen under the bus with the admission of the Bill & Loretta collusion on the tarmac. This should/could open up an investigation. To include by an Independant Council revisit of her 33,000 ‘missing’ emails. I think we will know by the job/position Comey takes after serving as Director of the FBI. I will watch closely where his next gig is. I doubt we have heard the last of him or his appearance before Congressional Committiies. If I was a member of the Clintonista Mafia, or the Deep State, I would have serious concerns of where this may lead. May well be that sucking sound is the draining of The Swamp.

Speaking as an outsider regarding Comey etc, ….it is just fantastic that this story has has been kept going, when it is based on such patent lies/non events.

As far as I can see, it was created to passify Hellary on her loss, based on nothing, yet still it rumbles on and none of the enablers seem able or willing to let go….then again when u check the body count around the Clintons, you can see why.

My guess is though, that the Dems are making themselves unelectable for years to come…..how can u vote for simpletons/lunatics/cretins…take ur pick.

Mexico owes Goldcorp and five other Canadian miners more than US$360 million: report

Posted by ipso facto @ 15:11 on June 8, 2017

Mexico’s tax agency is holding over US$360 million in tax rebates owed to six Canadian miners, including US$230 million to Goldcorp Inc, according to sources and official documents seen by Reuters, escalating the situation into a showdown between the Mexican government and Canadian mining firms operating there.

In a string of meetings, Canadian officials have pressed Mexico to fix the problem, which hamstrings mining companies’ ability to invest in operations and is particularly difficult for smaller, cash-strapped miners and explorers, people familiar with the matter said.

Vancouver-based Goldcorp declined to comment on its outstanding refund, which represents 142 per cent of its 2016 net profit and 6 per cent of its full-year revenue.

Goldcorp, the world’s No. 3 gold miner by market value, is owed the largest amount, according to documents seen by Reuters, followed by Torex Gold Resources, a small, Toronto-based miner which began commercial production at its Mexico mine last year and is waiting on a refund of some US$66.5 million.

“It’s damaging the ability to reinvest the dollars in assets that actually pay real tax,” said Torex chief executive Fred Stanford, who is working with Mexican authorities to resolve Torex’s 2015 submissions, but declined to comment on the refund amount.
