*It was months into his campaign before he was forced to admit he was a Democrat. His first ads only mentioned things like cutting government waste, fighting corruption, etc. Many thought he was a conservative. He had no interviews on CNN up until the very end. He was avoiding best he could being tied to the Democrat party. Had a lot of folks fooled for awhile.

I think we have seen the new Demo strategy. Run a new, unknown, face, and try to pass them off as anything but a democrat. You can fool a lot of folks with simple one phrase slogans. Instead of running the old school democrats, they will be finding and funding new faces. Like they did with the unknown Obama.

They had a much, much, better ground roots boots (mostly young) out there beating the streets and registering voters. And were able to promote a lot of excitement among young and disenfranchised voters.

Handel tried to distance herself from the Trump folks, and almost never mentioned him except at the very end of the campaign when she had nothing to lose, and needed every vote since the polls had Ossoff slightly in the lead. If this is the future of Republican strategy, to distance themselves from Trump and the good things he is getting done, I am not sure that will work very well.

This should be a wake up call when a no name, been and done nothing, weird looking kid can make this a race in a long held Repub district, the Republicans almost blew it. 2018 races should be interesting.

I’ll be happy if the shakeup results in a ratcheting down of the tensions with Iran, Syria etc. The US does not need a war with Iran which would likely lead to a wider conflagration.

In Historic Shakeup Saudi King Removes Crown Prince, Names Son As First Heir

In a shocking development, on Wednesday Saudi Arabia’s King Salman appointed his 31-year-old son Mohammed bin Salman (his eldest son from his third wife) as crown prince, placing him as first-in-line to the throne and removing his nephew, 57-year-old Mohammed bin Nayef – the country’s counterterrorism czar and a figure well-known to Washington – from the royal line of succession, relieving him of his post as Interior Minister, and stripping him from all his titles.

Bin Salman already controls the Kingdom’s defense, oil and economic policies; today’s announcement merely consolidates his power. He was also credited with arranging Trump’s “successful” trip to Riyadh.

Al Arabiya television reported that the promotion of the prince was approved by the kingdom’s Allegiance Council with 31 of 34 members approving, and that the king had called for a public pledging of loyalty to Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday evening in Mecca. The surprise announcement follows 2-1/2 years of already major changes in Saudi Arabia, which stunned allies in 2015 by launching a war in Yemen, cutting old energy subsidies and in 2016 proposing partly privatizing state oil company Aramco.

If news were to break out that WWIII started with the first nuke launch, gold would spike $20 higher and then proceed to sell off for the rest of the day. The USD would spike and the stock market would soar.

This is the daily gold chart.  I realize that gold market investors are a bit disappointed that gold hasn’t surged above $1300 in 2017, but good things come to those with patience.

Note the position of my 14,7,7 Stochastics oscillator at the bottom of the chart.  Gold tends to rally when it reaches the 10 area (it’s near that now).  When it reaches the 90 area (as it did a few weeks ago), gold tends to soften.

It’s not rocket science; from a technical perspective, gold tends to “breathe”, much like a person does.

But makes for easy trading. Been holding JDST/DSLV for about a week now. Not booking much in the profit dept, but not losing much either. Beginning to wonder just what it will take to reverse this beat down? WWIII ???

Georgia’s 6th District had 250,000 voters. Over $50,000,000 spent on campaigns. The Dems threw everything but the kitchen sink into backing their man Ossoff, and LOST. Pelosi and her Hollywood buddies must be beside themselves this morning. 🙂

95% of Ossoff’s funding came from outside the state of Georgia. And the idiot did not even get to vote for himself because he lives outside the 6th district. Stupid is as Stupid Does.

The old saying if you give someone too much rope they will hang themselves with it. My view is their power to get away with doing bad things, (fiat money and wars etc etc etc) led to them hanging themselves, re non-performing loans, bailouts, and the summer 2008 meltdown, combined with these crazy unpredictable one to nineteen man terrorist attacks with guns bombs and trucks.

Lets not forget all the food stamps, medical insurance cost problems, and these refugees all over the world. MS 13 gangs, expensive security costs, falling interests rates, falling oil prices. I myself do not see banks and  gov’ts as winners anymore. And the big corporations? They were the winners, and because of that, there is not much left to win, unless they give some back. Look at the retail sector. I heard 7000 stores were going to close. many shopping malls also and related shares.

Also some of the replacement placebo environment related jobs like the EPA are getting less funding. Add those layoffs to retail layoffs. I think them getting Trump in, and getting tougher on imports, less regulation, lower taxes and all the other promises, is THEM in “give back mode” but too little and too late. I see TPTB in panic mode, ESPECIALLY when they keep talking, or pumping the need for higher wages. HUH???

Those bozos were dead set AGAINST higher wages starting in 1975. Their primary objective was LOWER wages. That’s why they started the Woman’s lib movement, to double the workforce, and that not being good enough for them, They can never be satisfied, they started off shoring our jobs, to REALLY screw the tax PAYING work force.
