Loading ...I really cut back on the tomatoes this year. I have 12 plants, all heirlooms. Heirlooms typically take longer to produce than hybrids. I have several small green tomatoes which should be ripe when I get back from Belize on July 2.
The continual oversupply of wheat have caused many farmers in this area to plant canola and milo as an alternative. Marginal farmland has slowly over the years reverted to grass. Many have sold all their equipment and gone totally to grass and livestock. Others have gone to grass and hay. If I ever have to take over my wife’s farm, it’s grass and hay all the way!
