Have just bought a never used Sony Xperia 3 for twice that price grrrrr. Still it was a fraction of the latest model….It runs Android….have managed to turn off all Google Apps and systems, so now it has been on for 3 days and is still 72 % charged !!!!
Google was useing near 60 % of the battery, now Zero……u just have to leave on Location all other Google turn off…then u will see Google Play Services and Google Services disappear from Battery usage.
There are alternatives to Google such as Aptoide for Apps and other browsers than Chrome…..
less than £ 100 for all that, means Apple has a serious problem selling £ 700 + phones.
