I think, they think, in their small minds, by them suggesting a rate increase it will raise peoples confidence that the economy is fine and growing. Jawboning. I think a recession is starting, and any hike they already did, can be used as “dry powder” when it comes. I don’t see any real improvement in the economy other than psychological effect, and or unneeded gov’t vendor jobs created out of thin air.
As for the terrorists? Or ISIS? I’m wondering if they are like the North Vietnamese, feel they lost their country, to westerners and are willing to fight to get it back? Sometimes I think this whole mess started decades ago regarding sympathy for the so called displaced Palestinians.
