Yeah, I don’t have any words of encouragement or clue what pm’s will do on any given day. Seems like you are doing pretty well as it is so if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Glad to have a little upside in the metals so the day isn’t a complete waste.

Because of the MINIMUM  3x leverage of JDST/JNUG, ( I say minimum, because often when the PM’s get running good in one direction the leverage can jump much higher, 5,10,12, even once nearly 20%), IF you are quick to cut the losers, I have found that one right trade can more than make up the loss of two wrong trades. So in reality, you really only have to win about 33% of the time.

Those that purport to know which direction are usually fooling themselves. The markets, especially PM’s are so manipulated I don’t think any chart or ‘expert’ really knows what will happen on a given day. If you have been reading these pages you have heard us whine that so often, Up is Down, Right is Wrong, Left is Right.

I use ETF simply as tools, and try to guess which way the market will go. You ask which indicators ? All of them and then some. I’m not trying to be a smart ass, but the real answer is all and none. I use the same indicators as you, as everyone. And then I make a guess as to which way Gold and Silver goes today.

Sorry, I guess you were expecting some ‘Secret’. I wish I had one. Well, actually I do have one that has really changed my trading style and done more to add to the trading account than any indicator or method yet. Try not to laugh, but here goes. I quit losing.

Ok, I lose about as often as I win. But I quit riding losing trades. I make my best guess, and in reality that is all anyone has, and if the trade goes south, instead of taking a ‘Hopium’ pill I just pull the plug. I cannot pick a winning trade every time, but I CAN cut a losing trade short. I guess you can say I have gone ‘drug free’ in the trading account. That has been the biggest change, and the most benefit to me this year. Kiss the Winners, Boot the Losers, and don’t waste valuable time or money doing either.

My suggestion to anyone is to just experiment with some of the ETFs. Start with a few shares and see if all your years of watching these insane markets give you a clue. I have found they trade quite differently, have a somewhat different ‘feel’ than the PM stocks. Every day offers a new chance to ‘get it right’. Start with the 50/50 chance and try your Luck. Which in the end, has probably been my greatest alley, Lady Luck. She will either decide to kiss your efforts, or not. You know what to do next.

The simple matter is I don’t know anyone that has made a Billion trading PM’s. If he/she is out there they are sitting on some island and not letting the rest of us know. The rest of us, no matter how experienced, how knowledgeable, still really don’t know what the day will bring in the PM markets.

Try it, your luck may be even better than mine.

since Trump left any mention of article 5 from his speech to the EU ..Thats the part that sez an attack on one is attack on all ,so they think they can get away with not spending money on thier own defence ..leaving the US to Pay the defence of Europe  ..Trump told them to Pay Up what they agreed to pay !  Then “forgot” to mention the US will come to their aid.   Trump knows what he is doing ,he is not going to let Europe “game” him  so they had better pay for their own defence like they agreed to do.

Clear break out, but v close to 1 % up, so anymore is a nono….Option scum are so far loseing…v rare, but major scum are holding that 1 %…..only the scum would sell here, anyone else can see demand is good etc.

As for shares both scum are all over them, can’t have them storming into weekend, or the ubber dolts at CNBC might have to talk about them….and seeing as how they get their hands dirty digging, as oppsed top lieing

It is frustrating as hell that I cannot seem to get a grip on the direction to go. I think the long weekend will give a much needed mental break and a chance to clear my head of all the confusion in the PM’s.

And obviously, even my sense of humor, which can be weird even on good days, is off a bit as well.

I have always highly respected Ipso, and folks like you, and all the members at the Oasis. I truly regret saying something that Ipso felt as came across in any way negative towards him. After rereading the post I can see how he might have taken it way.

I was making fun about rules, not anything aimed at our friend Ipso. Which by the way, I printed out the Zero Hedge article he provided and intend to study them over the weekend. I did a quick read of them and I appreciate Ipso posting that because there are some trading rules I need to review. Who knows, I might even follow some of them. 🙂

Can’t speak for Ipso but I do know for myself trying to stay upbeat with a positive sense of humor gets harder every day, especially after watching this never ending nightmare aka pm’s for all these years.

Days like these are especially hard because after getting your ass kicked for 6 years, the expectation s that when your metals are moving up, you’d get some relief with the shares, but noooooooo.

Good luck on the JDST purchase, no one in their right mind would argue that is a bad move because even if the metals hold gains today, the shares are telling you that they’ll get their teeth kicked in on Tuesday after the holiday.

Gianforte did the right thing ,that is to say not advocating violence but what do you do with someone that throws stones at a dog and then whines when he gets bit.

Some common sence in reporting ,stop the provoking and whinning when you get bit .Dont poke a Bear in the eye with a stick you fool.!

These so called “Journalists ” are a bunch of word processors provoking violence and then cry foul when it bites them in the ass.

However, I have one indicator that over the past several weeks has proven the most reliable and it just went from positive to neutral.

So after sitting on my hands all morning, with the account slightly weighted to the JDST, I just dumped most of the JNUG and added to the JDST position. I think I just made a Big Mistake, but made my choice.

Just following one my Rules. Do something, right or wrong, but DO something. 🙂
