Hi Margaret

Thanks so much for getting back to me!

Agree, can’t believe we’ve all managed to hang in there considering the relentless amount of CB money that seems to be thrown against us.

It sure seems that you could be right and economic collapse is close, but the money powers seem to be throwing everything to avoid it. Can’t agree more Margaret, those responsible need to be held to account.

Best to you, please don’t be a stranger.

Tony

“Mystery” Central Bank Buyer Revealed, Goes On Q1 Buying Spree

Posted by drb2 @ 19:05 on May 6, 2017

So if Central Banks, the creators of our money, can buy stocks without limit, and sell PMs without limit – Why would any sane person try to anything but join them?

Not a rhetorical question.

“Mystery” Central Bank Buyer Revealed, Goes On Q1 Buying Spree | Zero Hedge

While traders and investors were struck by the perplexing price action in the market in the first few months of the year, where on one hand institutions were dumping stocks at a near-record pace even as the S&P was making fresh all time highs, one central bank was quietly buying everything in sight….

Hi, Buygold. Meltdowns are very therapeutic. There should be more of them.

It amazes me how we have been able to survive what has been thrown at us. That we are still here at all says something. I heard the British Economist John Kay quoted on the radio the other day. He believes that an economic collapse is inevitable and that the whole system must be completely restructured. He also had something to say about the people who have been responsible for it, the ones who have benefited from the madness – they must be held to account.

It’s what we have all been saying for a long, long time, but it’s good to hear an economist saying it.

Last week I cleared some underbrush in a short-sleeve shirt and wound up with contact dermatitis itchy welts all over my forearms.   Don’t think I want to risk that in some other, sensitive areas.   Pass the cortisone cream, please!  (scratch, scratch)

What that tells me is the Rich are feeling some of the results of a collapse in spending velocity .Paychecks of the Rich are getting harder to come by.Its Great when THEY WORK …BUT GIGS ARE GETTING FEWER  AND FEWER ..even the very skilled are only being employed when needed ! I have a son highly skilled as a secuirity specialist computers ..he makes a lot of money when he works …when he works !  I have a Grandson that plays pro baseball for Baltimore they keep sending him back to AAA then call him up as needed to save money …They pay him well ,but keep him going up and down just enough to keep him playing but wont let him get to super star pay status .He threatrens to leave baseball and then they cave in and give him another contract ,apparently they want him but at thier price.

So confused…

Posted by Buygold @ 10:20 on May 6, 2017

Confused
I became confused when I heard the wordServiceused with these agencies:

Internal Revenue ‘Service’
U.S. Postal ‘Service’
Telephone ‘Service’
Cable / TV ‘Service’

Civil ‘Service’
City, County & State Public ‘Service’
Customer ‘Service’
This is not what I thought ‘Service’meant.

But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull toService’a few cows.

BAM!!! It all came into focus.

Now I understand what all those agencies are doing.

I hope that you are now just as enlightened as I am.

Good Morning Margaret!

Just dawned on me that I failed to acknowledge your kind words the other day when I had a little meltdown.

Please don’t be a stranger around here, I was really glad to see that you were lurking and still following to incessant yammering that goes on here at the Oasis.

Feel free to hurl insults and innuendo at Farmboy, he’s on kind of a roll lately so it will probably fall on deaf ears but someone needs to teach him some humility! 🙂

Thanks again for your kind words!

Ororeef – I think I’m a pretty good candidate for the “Americans with no abilities Act”. If I can figure out how to fill out the paperwork I’m going to sign up right away. 🙂

unfortunately there’s more than enough truth to it !  So much that it becomes plausible and thats a problem for any society.Theres is a point of NO return  without a depression to cure it and the accompanied misery when the cure needs to take away guarantees, safety nets and minimum wages to fix it.That will be a real problem ..try taking away food stamps first and see what happens just for starters. Its a slippery slope.Welfare needs to stop short of supplying ALL of peoples needs and supply only whats necessary to  prevent abject poverty ..the INCENTIVE to work is needed .jobs jobs jobs …..not debt debt debt .

If the Dollar loses its place as the reserve currency….. our wages will have to go down to a level where it meets Chinas wages that are going up and a parity is reached .In the meantime we are subsidizing the difference with DEBT and that has reached a point of diminishing returns …We MUST get JOBS going and do it FAST ..

The real unemployment rate is about 20 % not the 5% as Gubberment reports ..the difference is covered by food and shelter subsidies and they are not reported as unemployed ..The LABOR participation rate tells it better .From 2000 level of 67.3 % its been falling to 62.9 % today . Its not healthy and not sustainable ! To make matters worse we still import unskilled labor that prevents wages from going up .Its a Corporate crime !  Oh well if it dont work out we can always try my aforementioned Stimulus package in my 12:49 post.  hehe

Wait till you read this ! Insanity run amuck …I say put them all on piece work !

The Americans With No Abilities Act (ANAA).

The Democratic Senate is considering sweeping legislation that will provide new benefits for many more Americans. The Americans With No Abilities Act is being hailed as a major legislative goal by advocates of the millions of Americans who lack any real skills and ambition.

“Roughly 50 percent of Americans do not possess the competence and drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves in society,” said California Sen. Barbara Boxer. “We can no longer stand by and allow People of Inability (POI) to be ridiculed and passed over. With this legislation, employers will no longer be able to grant special favors to a small group of workers, simply because they have some idea of what they are doing.”

In a Capitol Hill press conference, Nancy Pelosi pointed to the success of the U.S. Postal Service, which has a long-standing policy of providing opportunity without regard to performance. At the state government level, the Department of Motor Vehicles also has an excellent record of hiring Persons with No Ability (63 percent).

Under the Americans With No Abilities Act, more than 25 million mid-level positions will be created, with important-sounding titles but little real responsibility, thus providing an illusory sense of purpose and performance.

Mandatory non-performance-based raises and promotions will be given to guarantee upward mobility for even the most unremarkable employees. The legislation provides substantial tax breaks to corporations that promote a significant number of Persons of Inability (POI) into middle-management positions, and give a tax credit to small and medium-sized businesses that agree to hire one clueless worker for every two talented hires.

Finally, the Americans With No Abilities Act contains tough new measures to make it more difficult to discriminate against the non-abled, banning, for example, discriminatory interview questions such as, “Do you have any skills or experience that relate to this job?”

“As a non-abled person, I can’t be expected to keep up with people who have something going for them,” said Mary Lou Gertz, who lost her position as a lug-nut twister at the GM plant in Flint, Mich., due to her inability to remember “righty tighty, lefty loosey”. “This new law should be real good for people like me. I’ll finally have job security.” With the passage of this bill, Gertz and millions of other untalented citizens will finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Said Sen. Dick Durbin, II: “As a senator with no abilities, I believe the same privileges that elected officials enjoy ought to be extended to every American with no abilities. It is our duty as lawmakers to provide each and every American citizen, regardless of his or her inadequacy, with some sort of space to take up in this great nation and a good salary for doing so.”

This message was approved by Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, Maxine (WaWa) Waters & Nancy Pelosi.
