Glad to hear that you have found strategies that worked. This is a tough market and if you can make any money in it then you’re doing better than the vast majority. Perhaps the miners only take off when they can show good profits and pay dividends, perhaps they’ll be valued like other vanilla type companies. FSM reported good numbers last night and is doing just fine today.

Still hoping for the moonshot but I must admit I’m feeling ground down.

One thing seems sure, things have gotten worse from a manipulation standpoint since Trump was elected. Cohn and Mnunchin have seen to that. Absolutely zero oversight and a PPT run wild.

Can’t argue at all, they have co-opted the PPT for their own gains……which will be their undoing, as at some point the majority will run in terror that the mkt is massively false.

Dunno if u watched Asher Edeleman..but how anyone can deny it, when the BoJ admits it is long more ETF’s than anyone etc, is beyond me and only proves what morons Lloyds stooges are.

PS I just watched it all and had forgotten how unbearably smug and monstrously stupid the CNBC crowd is….makes u want to short hell out of the SM, just to see them cry.

Currently I hold 25% of my account in PM stocks, which following mostly Floridagolds 10/20 cross I intend to hold for several years. That is my ‘core holdings’. I use primarily JNUG/JDST as simply another ‘investment tool’ to be used as a ‘force muliplier’ or ‘insurance policy’ as need be. And I try to keep 25% in dry powder for the unexpected. So far this year, every month has produced a higher balance in the trading account so I guess its working for me for now. I am a very lucky man. But I think I deserve some ‘luck’ at this point because like most Goldbugs, I have certainly Paid My Dues’ to the banksters. 🙂

And what changed my long term attitude, dyed in the wool, would never change my mind, just ‘buy em & hold em’ strategy?

Its the very same thing that has brought about most of the changes in my life, and how I think. Its called pain. Its like a mentor once told me when I was looking into my drinking problems. I told him I was not sure if I wanted to quit drinking and he smiled with that all knowing smile of his and said, ” Farmboy, you are one of us, and when you have had enough pain, you will join our merry band.”

Took me another year, and more pain, before I decided my way was not working, and I was willing to make some changes. That is how I changed my investing/trading, whatever you want to call it. I had had enough pain of simply holding em, and using ‘Hopium’ as a strategy, that SOMEDAY they would bounce back. Works for some, but I was not one of those.

I spend too many hours on the computer doing it, its a pain in the pattoo, there is a lot of things I would rather be doing, but for me, it seems to be working, for now. And besides, at my age, my risk tolerance for ‘failure’ is low, and time is not on my side. So I have chosen to play a more active role in trading, and using the 15 past years of watching these markets, use some of that experience to make an educated guess. If there is such a thing in the PM Markets. 🙂

I believe in diet as a foundation for perfect health but I must say Tumeric is one of the very best supplememnts u can take—I would say  it almost miraculous—and there are dozens of peer review studies on the benefits

Yeah good ol’ GDXJ – I’d actually might say the scum loves GDXJ and GDX, they’re both money making scum machines for them. Normal folks pile in as they should and the scum fleeces them with naked shorts, rule changes, etc. They can take them up or down at will but make no mistake, they are always on the right side of the trade.

R640 posted an interesting article on the Golden Cross showing it hasn’t worked since 2009.

Maybe the only thing left that works is Floridagold’s 10/20 trade.

When I really can’t sleep I go for the Valerian root. Three caps and it’s off to dreamland.

I’ve mentioned the benefits of turmeric here many times. I eat it on sandwiches, eggs etc. every day and take it as a supplement as well. I’ve only heard good things about it’s health benefits.

Now … if only our shares would get going …

I have been paying $10.00/pint for local home grown honey. I go through about a jar every 10-14 days. Ouch !

Newtogold put me onto a nightcap that seems to be helping me. Boil up a cup of Green Tea, add some fresh Ginger Root, Cinnamon, & tablespoon of honey. Seems to help me sleep better, eases some stomach issues I been having, and wake up feeling a little more ‘energized’ in the morning.

And for Maya, here is another little advice Newtogold gave me. Turmeric, does all kind of good things, but is also a great anti-inflammatory, as in the reason those overworked muscles complain so much is because they are inflamed. Try a little turmeric in your oatmeal or sprinkled on your eggs. Seems to work better than Advil for me.

WASHINGTON (AP) — There’s a glimmer of hope for America’s ailing honeybees as winter losses were the lowest in more than a decade, according to a U.S. survey of beekeepers released Thursday.

Beekeepers lost 21 percent of their colonies over last winter, the annual Bee Informed Partnership survey found. That’s the lowest winter loss level since the survey started in 2006 and an improvement from nearly 27 percent the winter before.

The U.S. government has set a goal of keeping losses under 15 percent in the winter.

“It’s good news in that the numbers are down, but it’s certainly not a good picture,” said survey director Dennis vanEngelsdorp. “It’s gone from horrible to bad.”

I’m weighted just a little to the JDST side this morning, but have some cash in reserve. Just waiting to see what direction the PM’s want to take.

Today, tomorrow, no matter. It’ll be a bloodbath, the shares are telling us that right now.

In most sectors when you have a nice reversal like we had yesterday, it would be a bullish event.

That was quite some days work you put in yesterday. You probably learned a lesson in Reaching Retirement 101. That lesson is your mind starts lying to you. Telling you can still do the things you did in your twenties or thirties. Listen instead to your body which usually speaks the truth the day after. It’s telling ya, “What were you thinking??!”

Winedoc is about the only Doctor I know that still makes house calls. But I do have this Medicine Man up in the mountains that still makes house calls if your interested. Take it easy today would be my advice. I’m sure your body will second that motion. 🙂

Let me know if you need Medicine Man’s phone number. He aint cheap, the cost of upgrading to his ‘Iron Horse’ and all, but his potion usually does the trick. He specializes in pain relief. Anything from broken hearts to broken bones.

about general (black jack) pershing when he was in charge of u.s. troops fighting the islamic moro insurgents in the philippines sometime early in the last century.

the story tells of twelve moro guerrillas who were captured.  pershing had ten posts erected, and ten of the guerrillas tied to them.  the other two guerrillas were shackled to chairs so that they could watch the proceedings.  ten graves were dug, ten pigs slaughtered and skinned.  before the firing squad executed the guerrillas, they coated  the cartridges with the gore of the pigs.  the pig blood coated bullets were then fired into the ten who were tied to the posts.  .

The Philippines was a part of the United States as a territory until
1946 when by a majority vote the Filipino people decided to become
a nation among nations. Up until 1946 Filipinos were United States
citizens. The United States considered Filipinos character as of
unquestionable integrity after they achieved nationhood and afforded
the Filipinos the right to enter the American military directly from the
Philippines although they were no longer American citizens.

This American thought process of our Filipino brothers goes back
to World War 2 where their courage was show during and after the
Bataan Death March where Filipino men, women, and children who
were subject to death, threw both food and medical supplies over
the Japanese POW fences for the American and Filipino prisoners.
They fought side by side with Americans until General Douglas
MacArthur returned. The United States minted Filipino money
up until this date.

Because the United States of America was the “Mother Country”
from which they were afforded independence, the Filipino Constitution
is literally the United States Constitution with the “Philippines” replacing
the United States of America. In effect, every American who comes to
the Philippines already knows their Constitutional rights because the
Constitutions are the same. Many forget that although the majority of
Filipinos voted for nationhood, not all of the Filipino wanted to break
from being an American territory.

In today’s world, with China making claims on Filipino territory such
as Scarborough Shoals, which was the former United States Naval
target range, we as Americans must recognize that the Philippines
inherited their nation from the United States of America, who in turn
won the Philippines in the Spanish-American war. So when we transferred
our territory to the new nation – and gave them title to their lands, it may
come into question, just what right China has in making a claim based
on their territory claimed over 2,000 years ago?

The United States and the Philippines have a Mutual Defense Treaty
where this nation called the Philippines is the only secular Christian
value nation in all of Asia. This means as an American, we already
know how they think, their values of right and wrong, and their concepts
of freedoms, as we gave them their Constitution. And in doing this, we
added a very small footnote in their right to become an independent
nation – “so long as they can defend themselves”.

There is no other nation on Earth that is as close to the United States
as the Philippines. And, no other nation on Earth – not even Britain was
afforded the right for their people to volunteer directly from their nation
and be accepted without question into the United States Armed Forces.
The Philippines is our ONLY NATURAL ALLY in all of Asia. Many think
that Japan is, but they are wrong. Japan is our ally because we went to
war and to prevail we used atomic weapons. That is not a natural ally.
And if ever we are to help any nation in any part of the world to succeed,
should it not be a nation that We, the United States of America gave
birth to? I think the Philippines should be our top priority in all aspects
of allowing a nation to grow, succeed, and without a doubt they are our only
Natural ally on this beautiful planet named Earth
