Hanford nuclear plant has storage tunnel collapse & leaking tanks.  Emergency Alert and no-fly zone in effect.

The independent radiation monitors at NEMC are showing a ‘RadCon-4’ increase at Richland, downstream of Hanford.

You’re surrounded, Ipso!   Don’t eat any Columbia salmon.

Researchers have answered a big question about the decline of the middle class

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 14:53 on May 9, 2017

part:

For instance, the typical 27-year-old man’s annual earnings in 2013 were 31 percent less than those of a typical 27-year-old man in 1969. The data suggest that today’s young men are unlikely to make up for that decline by earning more in the future.

as per “an economist at the nonpartisan Brookings Institution”

“the economists — from the University of Minnesota, the University of Chicago, Princeton University and the federal government ”

Comment:

What the hell took so long to figure THAT out? I knew what coming decades ago, and knew what was wrong decades ago.  Obviously the media only admits things after everyone already knows.

Many posts I made re the “31 percent less pay” than back in the day, means the economy is running like a real unemployment rate of 31%. 4.5% unemployment rate today is the alleged nominal unadjusted rate. Adjusted for less purchasing power, we have a REAL rate of 31% unemployed effect.

I think these so-called educated economists need some blue collar help.

Was kinda exhausted Yeaterday but concerning your friend has he tried the macrobiotic diet. Seems to be the only thing that really helps is diets and immune boosters like vita C as they’ll never allow cures. Since Cancer can suck the energy out of you they usualy need help along the way and someone with the attitude to never give up while they still have a chance. Earky diagnoses helps but much is being over looked. I’ve seen abdominal pain being treated as a ulser when it was a tubal pregnancy ” that one almost died due to rupture”  or colon cancer.

“People should get paid similar across the board” “Pay should equal the job or skill, not saying a hamburger wrapper should get paid as much as one with a skill level but a living wage because if Mac Donald’s charges the same everywhere so should the pay.”

Comment: Copy that thank you for your thoughts. Unfortunately, the cost of living, and doing business, varies state to state, county to county. Property taxes here in Suffolk County are minimum $8,000-$10,000. Many average $15-$18k, plus expensive home owner insurance. Electricity? Hah. Extremely high. Even car insurance is higher around NYC.

If you go from NY to Georgia with a common NY salary, you can live like a physician with $800 annual tax bills. Even a NY business moving south, and many have, save a lot of money. I heard yesterday the medical “a service industry” is 17% of the US economy. Much of that is also gov’t supported tax absorbing, re Medicare Medicaid etc.

@Ororeef, re Its all rigged.

You’re right. But occasionally a panic sets in and the rig was actually the reason or fault. Note all the crashes before and including 2008. Other info re brokerage company and trades in dead accounts, very interesting.

Zero Hedge==Trader: “It’s Going To Zero”

Posted by Richard640 @ 13:49 on May 9, 2017
Technical Trader: All support is broken, we are in uncharted territory.  This could continue.

Risk Management: I will concede that several new products seem to have changed the landscape and may have reset the boundary conditions.  I will review again.

Desk Head: Good!

Bear Trader: This is going to end badly.

All: It might, but not any time soon!
While this is a fictitious conversation, it is largely based on conversations I was part of in the spring of 2007 around CDS Indices.
Any similarity to conversations surrounding VIX yesterday are purely coincidental.
The sense that risk assets can only grind higher and that the value of any protection is useless, really seemed to reverberate throughout Wall Street yesterday as the S&P 500 hit all-time lows on 10 days realized volatility.
The types of conversations reminded me a lot of what was discussed in the Spring of 2007 – though who was right and who was wrong depended heavily on whether those conversations were had in late April or early June.
*  *  *
With stock turbulence evaporating further, betting on market swings has become cheap — for real.
As Bloomberg details, for the first time since November, the S&P 500 Index’s one-month implied volatility has dipped below the gauge’s actual price moves from the previous 20 trading days, as VIX sank to its lowest close in more than two decades
S&P 500 implied volatility was higher than realized for 108 straight days, the longest run since the 132 days ended Feb. 27, 2007… and most know what happened next.

I do agree with your noticing tax absorbing wages don’t go down with everyone else. They create lower wages higher taxes and prices don’t drop much as businesses profit at producers expense.
I kinda disagree with your labor ideas in county’s without looking at the profits of such companies. If a new car cost the same in one county as next the pay for those making them shouldn’t be different.
In Calif people move here not just for the weather they move here because of wages from lower paying states or county’s. That causes over crowding and higher costs. Migrants follow the money. Because of migrants getting aid it also raises taxes plus housing due to supply and demand. People should get paid similar across the board like Gov workers do pretty much. If medicare and private insurance is paid about the same county to county why should a nurse make less for the same work from one county to the next.
I knew Mexican nurses who would come here 6 months out of the year sharing apts and working 6-7 days a week through nursing registries then go back home for 6 months living off the higher wages they got here but could afford to pay for a big house there and only work 6 months a year. They could keep going knowing they’d get six months off. With the tightening of heath care the registry jobs dried up and many closed up. I even worked the registry for awhile on my days off mostly the jail and once was told the news outside because someone from Africa started up a registry and was hiring non nurses and was arrested. Turned out the nurse replacing me and others at my real job wasn’t real nurses we suspected and turned out they weren’t. Another one who was hiring the Mexicans from Texas got greedy and started hiring non nurses too so they went after her but she got word and left town and the real nurses got shafted of their pay who worked there. I worked with a American co. but even they closed down. Then hospitals started lowering their wages.
Pay should equal the job or skill, not saying a hamburger wrapper should get paid as much as one with a skill level but a living wage because if Mac Donald’s charges the same everywhere so should the pay.
I remember when in Georgia in 2000 calling a few places to check nursing wages. Was shocked to see how low it was. They argued lower cost but didn’t fit the skill level as you could almost do something less skill for about the same pay. You’d have to work two jobs meaning your like Shaira worth half women discrimination. I thought if I would buy a home there Id have to work in Calif like the Texans were doing.
Now people from Texas and Florida are seeing a influx which my be good initially but at some point they’ll max out or get some tax happy politician and rinse repeat somewhere else.
As far as taxes yes they should go down and thus costs should go down. With growing tax absorbing jobs I can’t see them doing that. We can start by cutting those jobs giving them back to states. Why should we have to pay for TSA when airlines can hire their own security. We know it has to do more with hunting money. So the few bucks they make cost us much more and adding to the deficit they never pay just use it as a excuse.
I remember years ago a guy asking anyone how to get 200k of gold to Australia trying to by pass taxes for leaving the country. All they hunt and steal and still the deficit keeps growing.

It won’t go down

But my comments about a rally “just starting” on no news were made in the context of the feeling that I and many devotees of PMs currently have that gold seems hopeless and will never have a meaningful rally in our lifetimes.

That said, such a large decline seems remote for now given the sold out state of gold…but I reckon a 2 or 3 day 100 buck plunge could create the exhaustion move/gaps for a true bottom…but I am as bewitched, bothered and bewildered as anyone else.

The war is only spreading to Europe where they’re aiding and funding the breeding of more births than that of the citizens then indoctrinate them to Shaira. Europe will be our next Afghanistan and Syria.
They think they can invite them in only being economic so they can fill the unskilled labor slots they are making a deadly mistake. Their communities are no go zones. Will be Chicago chi town on steroids everywhere.
They are aiding the breeding of people that will be taught to use and attack their children.
It will be their children doing the unskilled labor for the refugees while they take jobs they didn’t earn or prioritize over as they move into management. Then will come must speak Arabic lol
They think they can control the lawlessness and treat their own people as expendable while they slowly become outnumbered.
Then they’ll expect our grandchildren to go die for their selfishness. So people need to teach the grandkids what they’ve done and how they dissed us in the process and deserve to learn the hard way. They might not even have to go that far as war on the streets because they basically surrendered and let them breach the walls and sac the cities and next will be all the monuments and history wiped out. The Louvre has already been closed a few times already.

The catch with unskilled labor is welfare. They pay more anyways and taxes will outweigh unskilled labor costs for a few businesses like housing hotels farming profiting off it. That’s only temporarily as they learn to do other things anyways. One generation, If they make under a certain amount they will get money and tax to death in time like Calif everyone else to pay for it. Political corruption and economic suicide. I guess they figure if Shaira rule doesn’t happen in their life time why worry about it.

I Know…I Know….But Sooner Or Later. ???

@Richey, re 9:52 dang stock market just won’t go down!

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 12:23 on May 9, 2017

If the wrong thing hits the news, it will go down. Plus, the old “sell in May and go away” thing might happen too. Real estate I think is looking weaker. Not selling so fast, and people lowering asking prices lately. Soon after listing.

I hear car sales are lower too. I’m seeing a growing number of vacant apartments available for rent on Zillow in my area. All this with TPTB’s foot down hard on the gas peddle with 4% low mtg rates. Back in the ’70s they blamed inflation on wages being too high, and called it “the wage price spiral.”

They SUCCEEDED in lowering taxpayer wages, but they did NOT succeed in lowering tax ABSORBER wages, and hence, here they are, now complaining about stagnant and lower taxpayer wages. And entire sector of the population in the 18-24 year olds, can’t contribute to society.

Minimum livable wage should be different in each county, by calculating the minimum cost of food and shelter, like a studio apt, cost and maintenance of a 10 year old used car, weekly groceries costs etc.

Raising the minimum, the “pecking order” would raise all the other wages in unison. The net result would be equal to removing a tax “subsidy” from employers with employees on food stamps etc. Or like adding a tax to employers that use the natural resource of US Labor.

Businesses that are just getting by, with artificially cheap labor, will go bankrupt, and no longer be competition against other businesses. Good. Businesses need big profits. Profitable stingy businesses will just make less profit, like an added tax.

Don’t know what he’s doing or military heads but he did make a promise to go after terrorists. During Obama there were a lot of disasters for our military. Still you won’t stop terrorism from afar when their leaders military can’t create a rule of law and people have no where to turn nor a means to support themselves except for joining these groups. They’re not raised with moral standards just bullying thuggery and terrorism and since 2000s have been creating a lifestyle.

A woman here, a refugee spoke about their war on women along with the war on his or anyone who doesn’t surrender to them. They’re breeding by force which even intimidate men because they know they will be killed if they don’t go along. They live in fear. She spoke of the terrorist groups coming down from the mountains and taking not asking brides, some as young as 10. So there hostages amongst them. If they don’t go along with them the familys killed. She spoke of one woman who escaped so the guy went after her mother. They have them so fearful they will kill their own daughter to save the rest of the family. I think Europe is giving them a feeling of empowerment just feeding the fire. I can see true refugees nd christians being made to believe there here too and Theres no where to run.  We even feel that way sometmes so can imagine how they feel.

Trump initally tried to block them from coming here but we have brain dead Lib Judges aiding and abetting the enemy.

Interesting Harvey Organ. I guess I don’t understand if a sovereign is taking delivery and raiding the Comex why prices are falling?

I’m with you on Afghanistan. I believe if we’ve learned anything it’s that the President has pretty much zero control in this country and in addition to the Banksters, the military industrial and corporate complexes run everything. I’m not even sure the President and Congress are as powerful as the judiciary.

Really was hoping peace would break out when the new administration arrived. At least North Korea has been off the fear box lately. 🙂

Sort of like trading the PM’s right now
