Hunger is a great incentive for people to do hard or distasteful work. Hard times a la “The Grapes of Wrath” will appear once again and jobs, any kind of jobs will be coveted … and woe unto those snowflakes who are too fragile, mentally or otherwise to do real work.

10 Year Rate Climbing Since April 18, With A Jump Today

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 12:55 on May 1, 2017

Could explain this nonsense with Gold. 2.17% 4/18 to 2.33% today. Gold, same thing, since April 18, but inverse down. Silver started dropping first, by about two trading days. TPTB can manipulate silver far easier than gold imo. Push silver down and gold goes down with it in sympathy.

Along with the JNUG, I did do a little shopping from the list you provided of companies GDXJ was adding to. Think will make a good play in the long term.

In the short term I just did something out of the normal and doubled down on the JNUG. Probably a dumb as hell thing to do, but I aint buying this beat down.

Only good thing is I am playing with the winnings (earnings) of the bankster money.

And, to add to the mystery, my internet keeps going in and out as ATT digs up the nearby yards to install fiber.

So far, RNO’s daughter in law gets the trophy for ‘Best Shot’.  🙂

ipso facto @ 10:39….Robotic Fruit Pickers

Posted by silverngold @ 11:48 on May 1, 2017

I guess that’s one solution if it’s possible to create such a thing, but it certainly does not address the real issue which IMO is; everybody in America, legally or illegally, has entitlement issues. They are used to getting something for nothing, like foodstamps or welfare or free medical if they are on the dole, which they have no right to, or pensions and unemployment which they have earned but because of the first group of leaches they may never see.

I think America must be brought to her knees to even begin to straighten out these entitlement issues. As I’ve said many times before, There ain’t no free lunch, and unless/until everyone starts pulling their own weight again by insisting on a days work for a days pay for EVERYONE, America will continue to decline.

I got my first job at age 9 so now have 66 years of work behind me, and never once did I even think of sitting on the corner with a sign that said I’m hungry, Please help me! That attitude has gotta go or America will!!

Farmboy – good luck with your JNUG, I don’t know if maybe it’s safer to buy some of the individual names off their potential acquisition list.

Maddog – no positves for silver today, looks like we have a full blown commodity rout going and it looks like it coming regardless of what the USD is doing or ends up doing.

Stock market, especially the Nasdaq is the only place to be.

Robotic fruit pickers may help orchards with worker shortage

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Harvesting Washington state’s vast fruit orchards each year requires thousands of farmworkers, and many of them work illegally in the United States.

That system eventually could change dramatically as at least two companies are rushing to get robotic fruit-picking machines to market.

The robotic pickers don’t get tired and can work 24 hours a day.

“Human pickers are getting scarce,” said Gad Kober, a co-founder of Israel-based FFRobotics. “Young people do not want to work in farms, and elderly pickers are slowly retiring.”

FFRobotics and Abundant Robotics, of Hayward, California, are racing to get their mechanical pickers to market within the next couple of years.

Harvest has been mechanized for large portions of the agriculture industry such as wheat, corn, green beans and tomatoes for some time. But for more fragile commodities like apples, berries, table grapes and lettuce — where the crop’s appearance is especially important — harvest is still done by hand.

Members of Washington’s $7.5 billion annual agriculture industry have long grappled with labor shortages, and depend on workers coming up from Mexico each year to harvest many crops.

Good Morning Oasis

Posted by Farmboy @ 9:54 on May 1, 2017

Just put on the same trade as last Friday, Long JNUG.

Several factors considered, but Buygold’s tip kicked it over the top for me. Thank YOU buygold for posting that GDX article over the weekend. I am watching CDE and HL, which GDXJ is buying as to what JNUG may do today. So far, both CDE and HL in the green.

Hope my target practice is as good as RNO’s daughter in law. Would love to take out another coyote bankster today. 🙂

Next few hours will tell. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. 🙂

And still think the sell off in PM’s is way overdone. Fingers crossed.

Rye Patch … First Pour

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:23 on May 1, 2017

Vancouver, British Columbia, May 1, 2017 – Rye Patch Gold Corp. (TSX.V: RPM; OTCQX: RPMGF; FWB: 5TN) (the “Company” or “Rye Patch”) announced that it has completed the first gold pour from the new leach pad at the refurbished Florida Canyon Mine in Northwestern Nevada.

A total 485 ounces of gold was poured as doré in the month of April from the new South Heap Leach Pad with the first pour occurring on April 25, 2017. In addition, residual leaching from the old Florida Canyon and Standard Gold mines produced 602 ounces.

“This is a significant milestone for Rye Patch Gold,” said President and CEO William Howald. “The Florida Canyon team has done a phenomenal job on the re-start of the Mine and we are excited to be Nevada’s newest gold producer. We can now turn our sights to realizing the tremendous potential of our other projects along the Oreana Trend and reaching our goal of becoming Nevada’s next mid-tier producer.”

Rye Patch began irrigation of the newly built South Heap Leach Pad in mid-April 2017 only nine months after acquiring the Florida Canyon mine in July 2016. The Company plans to ramp up towards commercial production during the second quarter of 2017.
