With both Venus and Jupiter in retrograde motion the price of gold in dollars won’t be going anywhere until the second half of 2017.

depression era make-work projects

Posted by treefrog @ 22:31 on April 2, 2017

every so often i take a month off in the summer and go on a rambling camping trip – road trip in the fly-over areas of the west.  there are quite a few left-over little jewels from the wpa, the ccc, and other depression era programs:

granite creek hot spring, a concrete pool fed by a natural hot spring.  high in the mountains about an hour out of jackson wyoming.

lolo trail/lolo motorway, the old ridgetop indian trail across the bitterroots in idaho,  just west of missoula, montana. lewis and clark came this way.  the ccc made a section of it into a one lane dirt road.  below is a link to a helmet-cam motorcycle trip on a small part of it.  the views from the ridges are a lot better than those from the roads the white-eyes build along the rivers down in the bottoms.

lots of wildlife.  with luck, you can sight a jackalope, and now, kangas!

The Works Progress Administration and The Invisible Second Great Depression

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 22:03 on April 2, 2017

(renamed in 1939 as the Work Projects Administration; WPA) was the largest and most ambitious American New Deal agency, employing millions of unemployed people (mostly unskilled men) to carry out public works projects, including the construction of public buildings and roads.

In a much smaller but more famous project, Federal Project Number One, the WPA employed musicians, artists, writers, actors and directors in large arts, drama, media, and literacy projects.[1]

Almost every community in the United States had a new park, bridge or school constructed by the agency. “The stated goal of public building programs was to end the depression or, at least, alleviate its worst effects,” sociologist Robert D. Leighninger asserted. “Millions of people needed subsistence incomes. Work relief was preferred over public assistance (the dole) because it maintained self-respect, reinforced the work ethic, and kept skills sharp.”[7]:228

Comment:

The same thing as above, has been quietly stealthily going on in the USA since around 1975, and TPTB accelerated it after the 2008 meltdown. Look around your area. Read the newspapers. Bridges, Parking garages, four story apartment buildings near railroad stations. Excessive various gov’t employees. This country’s wealth has been stealthily embezzled away since 1975 and replaced with non productive employment and hence we have a $19 Trillion national debt.

I agree, the Roos will be sitting duck to wildlife and the winters are hard enough in those indigenous let alone a Roo. It would be cruel and certain death by wildlife or freezing and starving to death in winter.. That is if the wolves seeing them freezing and stuck in the snow dont make a meal out of them first. These animials are faster and or tactical.

It appears in the US gold’s time is not yet. I was hoping – (hope is not a strategy 🙂 ) that the supposed China – Russia gold/trade/avoid SWIFT deal might light a fire.

Clearly, gold’s time is not yet, Perhaps your early 2018 timeline may be what lies ahead…not tonight though…

Australia has no native bears.

I think Kangaroos are cool

Introducing them here? I dunno. Lots of competition for grass in the arid parts of the western states.

Fast food for bears and wolves?

EDIT/CORRECTION:  “this week-end” should read next week-end.

Astronomers use a sidereal system of the heavens; in said system Jupiter is aligned with the Moon this week-end.  I practice astrology, not astronomy.

In the tropical system of astrology which I favor, a retrograde Jupiter in Libra is square Pluto in Capricorn and this week-end the transiting Sun will oppose Jupiter while squaring Pluto, forming a Cardinal T-Square with Pluto at the Apex.  Cardinal signs lean toward accidents, Capricorn rules the land, and the energy of Pluto intensifies the force of the sign it transits.  Pluto creates a chasm, a splitting apart, a rendering asunder to collapse that which does not function according to spiritual law.  Its message is “Know Thyself.”  Pluto has rulership over earthquakes.  So somewhere on the Earth it appears a severe earthquake is probable.

In the chart of the U.S., Apex Pluto falls into the 2nd house of the country’s wealth.  The empty leg of the T-Square – where the action will manifest – occurs in the 8th house…so the shaking for America will be in the realm of the treasury, the national debt, financial organizations such as the banking industry and/or the nation’s mortality rates.

In the chart of Canada, Apex Pluto falls into the 10th house so the action will manifest in the opposite house, the 4th…which encompasses mining, living conditions of the people, real estate, and the land itself.

Connecticut Set To Become First State To Allow Deadly Police Drones

Connecticut could become the first US state to allow police to use drones equipped with deadly weapons if a bill opposed by civil libertarians becomes law. The bill, which was approved overwhelmingly by the state legislature’s judiciary committee on Wednesday, would ban so-called weaponized drones in the state but exempts police and other agencies involved in law enforcement, the AP reported. The legislation was introduced as a complete ban on weaponized drones but just before the committee vote it was amended to exclude police from the restriction. Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy, a Democrat, was reviewing the proposal, “however in previous years he has not supported this concept,” spokesman Chris Collibee wrote in an email.

Interesting. I was thinking the same thing that in addition to the predators, how the Kangaroos would handle the harsh winters.

Will be interesting.

treefrog @ 10:29…. IMO Mans stupidity at its finest!!

Posted by silverngold @ 11:49 on April 2, 2017

Australia has no natural  predators to the Kangaroo. Wolves, who hunt in packs in North America, will look at a kangaroo as a crippled antelope, surround it and take it down within seconds. One grizzly bear will do the same. A full grown grizzly can take down a full grown bull with a swat.  Cougars too if they are in the same habitat. And if they are depending on climate change to help these kangaroos get through Wyoming’s tough and long winters, they better think again. But then if they have really bought into the climate change hoax they probably believe in Santa and the Tooth Fairy too and are  negotiating to buy that famous bridge!!

Does man really have the right to be doing this after all he has already screwed up?? I don’t think so!!

This site was correct in predicting massive landslides in Indonesia and Colombia recently, this week EQ from sun flaring.

Moscow And Beijing Join Forces To Bypass US Dollar In Global Markets, Shift To Gold Trade

The Russian central bank opened its first overseas office in Beijing on March 14, marking a step forward in forging a Beijing-Moscow alliance to bypass the US dollar in the global monetary system, and to phase-in a gold-backed standard of trade.

Another Day Begins

Posted by Farmboy @ 8:02 on April 2, 2017

I shared my coffee each morning with a retired vet who each morning walked out unto the beach and planted the American Flag outside his ‘office’. A gentle and humble man, with a love and pride for his country.

After ‘raising’ Ole Glory, he set about the business of putting the cushions on the lounge chairs and placing umbrellas to shade from the sun. He also could rent you a jet ski, or offer a parasail ride, or a chance to swim with the dolphins tour.

I enjoyed his morning ritual. I liked seeing the unabashed display of patriotism. It reminded me of a time of long ago from my boyhood, when Americans where proud of their heritage and their Country. A man with a flag, who is doing his part to not only make America Great again, but making America Proud again. I think I will miss him as much as the beach and fishing. Grab some coffee and in your mind listen to the ocean waves and see our flag unfurl in the morning breeze. A great start to a new day.
