which it is possible to get a good camera view of the portals for the CPR’s spiral tunnels.  The link below does contain at least one photo image of the upper and lower portals of one of the circle tunnels  (See the largest central photo in the photo collage of the link below).  Relative to the overall elevational gradient of the broad mountain slope, the elevation difference between the lower portal and the upper portal looks minor in this central photo, but the elevation gained on the gradual grade in the two tunnel circles is enough for  the lift needed to get the rail line up to the elevation of Kicking Horse Pass.  Beautiful countryside through that pass.  Cheers.  Equiz
