Maya @ 2:30 Thanks For The Coffee ! My Holiday Will Be Spent Doing Some Honest ‘Trading’

Posted by Farmboy @ 8:11 on January 16, 2017

Couple weeks back some friends finally talked me into going with them on a little day trip to Cherokee, NC to visit a new Casino. Short little day trip and I enjoyed myself so much we are heading out in a few to try our hand again. Guess it has been over 20 years since I have been to a casino.

Walked around for a couple hours just taking in all the sights and sounds and watching folks gamble. Finally decided it was time to test the waters so sat down at a Blackjack table. Only had a couple hundred dollars and the table was $25.oo per hand, so figured this fun would last about ten minutes. Nearly an hour later I walked away with nearly $500.00 in winnings. Had a good time with friends picked up a little change, not a bad day. So thought I would go back with them today and see if lightening can strike twice.

Unlike stock trading, I found it relaxing as all get out. Kinda surprised me. For one, I expected to lose, so that took the pressure off from the get go. Second, I had no charts to study, no commentaries to ponder over, no worries about a bankster dropping the hammer right as things got going good. Just plain, simple, have some fun ‘trading’. Found a certain level of honesty at the casino that made for a little fun. So I’m taking the envelope with last time winnings and going to see if they want it back ? Win or lose, it will still be a fun day and a good chance to get away from the markets for a day.

Besides, they provide me with all the free coffee I can drink, and the food aint too bad either. So that’s how I’m choosing to spend the Holiday, just me and some friends, a game of simple Blackjack, and see if Lady Luck shows up again.

Oh yeah, and watching no news today, fake or otherwise. That in itself is worth the trip and chance to get away. Do wish I had learned to count cards, but then again, that would make it seem like work again.

Best to all, and 21’s to all of you, Farmboy
