Just chatted to an options dealer and he says Stock mkt is pricing in a Hellary win and no kind of big move at all, everyone is selling volatility as usual and no-one is buying puts, so prices are cheap.

So options that expire in Nov may be cheap as chips into the vote, as maybe only a few days left on them !!!!!

maya,  “Party loyalty and union partnerships here are entrenched among the older set here.”  among union membership here, the “older set” is the leadership, or in each local, half a dozen or so people.  and, yes, they are for the most part loyal to the jackass party.  among the rank and file, (a hundred or so in my local)  there is a growing awareness of betrayal by the jackasses, and a strong distaste for hillary.  the way it looks from on the ground here, the leadership will mostly vote jackass and the rank and file will mostly vote heffalump.

i was for many years a member of the plumbers and pipefitters – a trade union – and recording secretary of the local for the last few years.  there is a distinct difference between trade unions and industrial unions.  trade unions tend to be more conservative than industrial unions

I still believe that the old-guard Demos will  give it to Hillary for Hawaii, though.  Party loyalty and union partnerships here are entrenched among the older set here.  They simply do as they are told.

It’s not a joke. We got too many including Hillary and maybe especially Hillary that are too willing to jump into things without thinking them out. Costing money and lives. Being OBAMA care or wars. That why it’s still going on today.

I’m looking to buy at the money puts on one of the stock market futures index. The Dow index put should be about $1750. The s&p put is about $2000. It’s about 50 days to expiration on the Dec contracts . If Trump wins the election, the stock markets may lose a lot of air very quickly. Every stock index is making a very large rounded top which is long term bearish.

My last recommendation was a very quick four bagger and then went to zero in a very short time.

I was sitting in the dentist waiting room today and the TV was on  with 2 commenters blathering on about the election. A 30ish woman was watching intently. She turned ecxitedly to me and said, “we could have our first woman president, what do you think about the election.” I said “if Hiliary wins we could all end up nuclear toast”. She never said another word to me.

Iceland’s Pirate Party poised for Saturday election win – poll

Iceland’s national election is likely to bring unprecedented results, with a new poll suggesting the Pirate Party will win. Led by a poet and former WikiLeaks activist, it’s running on an anti-corruption campaign against the financial and political elite.

An opinion poll conducted by the Social Science Research Institute of the University of Iceland and commissioned by Morgunblaðið newspaper found that one in five voters intends to cast their ballot for the Pirate Party on Saturday.

That figure puts the party in first place with 22.6 percent of the votes – 1.5 percent ahead of the center-right Independence Party, which is currently in power. Those numbers would give each of the two parties 15 MPs in the 63-seat parliament.

Such a win would be history-making for the Pirate Party, which is led by Birgitta Jónsdóttir – a poet, web developer, former WikiLeaks activist.
