PMs ARE ON FIRE

Posted by North @ 15:16 on February 18, 2016

Haven’t seen this kind of action in years. Today HUI keeps hitting new highs of the day. New highs for his run are due tomorrow. Breakout, Backtest, Blastoff. I don’t even know what it backtested this time. 🙂

“shorts to shear”

Interesting thought. So … if you’re correct then we are going to see a rally in oil pretty soon?

What do you think about the oil price? Is this $30 area going to last for a while?

Cheers

Some people would say that your evil twin is full blown schizophrenia! 🙂

Doesn’t seem to have to have hurt so far. $1233 not so bad!

Ha Bull and Bear … I had the same thought.

I think it’s real. Gold doesn’t oxidize, there’s plenty of ancient gold jewelry out there that looks the same as the day it was made.

Cushing was full when crude was $140/bbl. Oklahoma producers couldn’t sell oil unless they trucked it to a refinery. They were not getting $140.

this information was released to get some new shorts to shear.

Agree completely. I already thought poorly of him … now it seems he wants to dabble in a possible nuclear annihilation. If we get through his term without a nuclear war I’ll breathe a sigh of relief!

This idea has been floated before………..

Posted by silverngold @ 14:50 on February 18, 2016

………….. but America should have the same rules for congress members as they have for President. No more than two consecutive 4 year terms in office. America is stagnating under these career politicians who have all been bought and paid for. They need legally weeded out so new blood and new thinking can surface.

Tks for that I was just thinking of buying some more…now I can wait happily and get it cheaper.

Muhaha ipso, my evil twin made me do it. Watch for the two Rally Monkies, one silver one gold at start of song…

That coin looks too much like a Wall Street bull and bear (rather than a lion), probably created by some kid in his basement…..but a good way to get 6 figures for a nice nugget.. LOL!!!

Edit: Gold is a soft metal and could not possibly be in such sharp relief after 2500 years….IMO.

Just read yr link….How far will the US go.

As u say deeply depressing. I really thought with less than a yr to go the idiot in the White Hut, would be content to be known as Useless…..not the Useless fool who started WW III….surely wiser heads will lock him up somewhere, where he can do no more harm.

re your…”Do you really think the song “Imagine” is influencing world politics?”

Comment:
These days? ABSOLUTELY NOT. The damage has already been done. Not needed today. But in the 1970s?? You KNOW it HAD to influence the gullible teenagers of those days and they all grew up.

If anything, your statement is backwards. The world politics of the 1960s were designed to make the USA a different country than it was back then. More like Europe. They succeeded.

Now they are losing it all because re-shaping so many countries, and so many markets is all back firing. Did you watch that video? That hedge fund guy describing the markets? Well its the same thing going on with countries politically.

Research Yoko Ono. Chinese, lived in Japan during bombings, was pissed off, and thought there had to be a stop for wars, live in harmony. I don’t know for sure who created the words or agenda of “Imagine.” Either Yoko or global influences gave them the words to build a song around.

This is a great rant, worth knowing what the USA has become. If you pass it up you just don’t want to know. Some bad language which IMO is understandable and excusable!!

Something that rarely comes up in an Income Inequality discussion is the divide between government workers and private sector. (I will include large corporations in with govt, for obvious reasons).

Most feel they are underpaid and over worked. Ha-ha, right!   Every govt retiree is essentially a multimillionaire. Consider that for every $1000 they get in retirement per month is like $1M in the bank at 1% (guaranteed & no risk) for life. and life of spouse. No stock market worries for them.

Compare to the retirement of the self employed plumber, electrician, truck driver, lettuce picker who actually provides indispensable services

I find that highly unlikely.

ipso facto @ 10:02 re Turkey blames Kurdish militants for Ankara bomb

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 10:17 on February 18, 2016

I’m getting the feeling, that practically every other country out there that was integrated, modernized, westernized, globalized etc, are fed up since the 2008 meltdown (and before) and they all want to “make their country great again”.

In other words, back to the past that was better. A major reversal of John and Yoko’s politically correct song “Imagine” going on out there. I knew there were going to be problems with that dumb idea when the song came out back in ’69?.

You’re shelling them and bombing them so they attacked your military. Should be no surprise. Nato should tell the Turks to shove it!

Turkey blames Kurdish militants for Ankara bomb, vows response in Syria and Iraq

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu blamed a Syrian Kurdish militia fighter working with Kurdish militants inside Turkey for a suicide car bombing that killed 28 people in the capital Ankara, and he vowed retaliation in both Syria and Iraq.

A car laden with explosives detonated next to military buses as they waited at traffic lights near Turkey’s armed forces’ headquarters, parliament and government buildings in the administrative heart of Ankara late on Wednesday.

Davutoglu said the attack was clear evidence that the YPG, a Syrian Kurdish militia that has been supported by the United States in the fight against Islamic State in northern Syria, was a terrorist organization and that Turkey, a NATO member, expected cooperation from its allies in combating the group.

Within hours, Turkish warplanes bombed bases in northern Iraq of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which has waged a three-decade insurgency against the Turkish state and which Davutoglu accused of collaborating in the car bombing.

Turkey’s armed forces would continue their shelling of recent days of YPG positions in northern Syria, Davutoglu said, promising that those responsible would “pay the price”.

Video: Has the Market Crash Only Just Begun?

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 9:58 on February 18, 2016

This guy (the smartest one I’ve ever seen on TV) was interviewed yesterday morning on Bloomberg TV. He knows all the past decades of central planning manipulation of the markets (like zero interest rates) have distorted markets and values. He predicted the dot com bust in ’00, and the stock market crash in spring ’08. He made over a billion dollars betting on the crisis in Summer ’08. Where can investors go now? Explained like this in my words.

“There are only two “doors” to invest for long term. One door is the confidence of the past. Keynesian economics. Continuing success of the central planners Greenspan Bernanke etc. “The other “door” is confidence that all the past distortions are trying to right themselves. A reversal. The gov’t media will always give a feeble excuse for a crash like it was a freak Black Swan event. But in reality they are not black swan events. They were easily predictable .

He uses Tobin’s Q Ratio that predicts major abrupt drops in the general stock market. Not individual stocks. He say’s P/Es and similar things are useless for predicting what an individual stock will do.

I think junk silver, pre 64 dimes and quarters are going to be very handy at some point. People should get super pissed at this move to ban cash, beyond the privacy and control issues it will really throw sand in the gears of commerce.
