ObamaTrade Will Cost 448,000 American Jobs, New Study Finds

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Derrick Broze via TheAntiMedia.org,

One of the major purported selling points for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is a supposed increase in new jobs as a result of the controversial trade deal. The deal involves 12 nations, including the U.S., Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia and more. However, two recent economic reports have contradicted the claims that jobs will increase. They have shown that, more than likely, the deal will lead to a loss of jobs.

First there was a World Bank report that predicted that TPP would produce negligible boosts to the economies of the U.S., Australia, and Canada. TechDirt writes:

So according to the World Bank’s figures, the U.S. will gain an extra 0.04% GDP per year on average, as a result of TPP; Australia an extra 0.07% annually, and Canada a boost of 0.12% per year.”

This study was followed up by a review from Jerome Capaldo and Alex Izurieta at Tufts University. In a study titled “Trading Down: Unemployment, Inequality and Other Risks of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement,” Capaldo and Izurieta claim their study uses a more realistic model than past analyses. Specifically, the researchers state that their model incorporates effects on employment that were previously excluded from TPP calculations.

Their study found that economic growth is likely to be limited — and negative — for some countries, including the United States. The researchers also found the TPP would probably lead to increased unemployment and inequality. Capaldo and Izurieta explained:

re The Banksters started this crap…..

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 17:09 on January 24, 2016

That’s right, and its all blowing up in their obnoxious faces. Millions of people are not paying their monthly mortgage payments since 2008. The banksters since 1913 have been operating exactly like one big global socialist/communist gov’t.

They rejigger currency exchange rates that move or redistribute USA wealth and industry away from us and onto the have not countries and socialist countries like in Europe. After 1913, they arranged it so the USA could finance (borrow their artificial play money) to pay interest to them and the USA pays to fight foreign wars.

WW II, Korea, Vietnam, moon landings, space shuttle rides, and on and on. The big mistake they made after 1979 was NOT reporting the accurate cost of living increases needed to raise wages in unison along with costs. The masses taxpayer wages have not kept up with cost of living increases, and tax ABSORBER wages, which SURPASSED cost of living increases.

This is real simple crap, and I’m not surprised Trump isn’t bringing this dynamic up, leading me to believe he’s working with the establishment. Giving people home loans without down payments was corporate welfare for bankers to maintain liquidity for bankers whose balls are on the line.

Get some popcorn, get into the recliner, and enjoy the show.

Its a lie ….oil & TAXES

Posted by Ororeef @ 15:45 on January 24, 2016

The inelastic retail price of energy influenced by Taxes that dont get cut when oil prices fall and jobs fall simply makes poverty a fixed cost because taxes dont get cut by the same percentage so costs become relatively fixed while the ability to pay  does not go up ….Government who is the biggest waster of money gets its income fixed  while the public gets screwed by low wages .Government must cut taxes or we go into depression..The US Government has attempted to maintain its income while they play Politics with Russia & Saudi oil prices  .The US Government is causing all of this nonsense ,the US consumer goes into poverty while Government grows …Government is the Problem  !  not Russia, not China, not opec ….Taxes on Gasoline and all energy need to be eliminated or at least a PERCENTAGE of retail prices. That way Government feels the effect of their stupid policies when they fail and forces them to correct their mistakes instead of insulating themselves .

All this crap started when the Oligarchs tried to steal Russian oil and Putin threw them out of the Country and put some of them in JAIL. Now the Financial ghouls want revenge !  They are trying to bankrupt Russia …so Russia retaliates and plays chess with Iran politics ….The Banksters started this crap…..

Brits waking up?

Uh huh…. freedom of speech eh?

Freedom of religion eh?

You’re free to worship as you wish.  You’re not free to demand others believe as you demand, threatening violence if you don’t get your way.

Wake up folks.  This is what happens today, in an allegedly-free nation.

Venezuela congress nixes Maduro request for emergency powers

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:53 on January 24, 2016

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — Venezuela’s opposition-led congress on Friday rejected President Nicolas Maduro’s request for emergency powers amid a plunging national economy, the depths of which were dramatized by an IMF estimate that inflation this year will top 700 percent.

Ruling party and opposition lawmakers accused each other of trying to run the country into the ground in the first major congressional debate Venezuela has seen in more than a decade. Critics of the socialist revolution kicked off by late President Hugo Chavez took control of congress last month for the first time in 17 years.

Maduro had proposed an economic emergency decree that would give him expanded authority for 60 days. In the past, when it was dominated by first Chavez’s and then Maduro’s allies, congress made a habit of approving these kinds of exceptional powers.

The opposition argues that Maduro is responsible for raging inflation and chronic shortages dogging daily life here, and is promising to oust him within six months.

The Benefits of Avoiding Late-Night Eating

I’ve been a fan of intermittent fasting for quite some time for a variety of reasons, certainly longevity and health issues, but also because it appears to provide powerful cancer prevention and treatment benefit. And the mechanism for that is related to the effect fasting has on your mitochondria.

As mentioned, a major side effect of the transfer of electrons that the mitochondria are involved in is that some leak from the electron transport chain to react with oxygen to form the free radical superoxide.

Superoxide anion, the product of a one electron reduction of oxygen, is the precursor of most reactive oxygen species and a mediator in oxidative chain reactions. These oxygen free radicals attack the lipids in your cell membranes, protein receptors, enzymes, and DNA that can prematurely kill your mitochondria.

Some free radicals are actually good and your body requires them to regulate cellular function, but problems develop when you have excessive free radical production. Sadly that is the case for the majority of the population and why most diseases, especially cancers, are acquired. There are two possible solutions to this problem:
1.Increase your antioxidants
2.Reduce mitochondrial free radical production

I believe one of the best strategies for reducing mitochondrial free radical production is to limit the amount of fuel you feed your body. This is a noncontroversial position as calorie restriction has consistently shown many therapeutic benefits. This is one of the reasons why intermittent fasting works, as it limits the window that you are eating and automatically reduces your calories.

It is particularly effective if you avoid eating several hours before going to sleep as that is your most metabolically lowered state. A review paper1 that provides much of the experimental work for the above explanation was published in 2011, titled “Mitochondrial DNA Damage and Animal Longevity: Insights from Comparative Studies.”

It may be too complex for many laypeople, but the take-home message is that since your body uses the least amount of calories when sleeping, you’ll want to avoid eating close to bedtime because adding excess fuel at this time will generate excessive free radicals that will damage your tissues, accelerate aging, and contribute to chronic disease
.
