welfare dogbirds

ms cardinal setting three eggs in my mexicola avocado tree.

the birds that frequent my front porch have figured out that my dogs’ bowl is always full of good things to eat.  now a pair of cardinals is setting up housekeeping about fifteen feet from the bowl of kibbles.

can i claim them as dependents?
