Hi guys, Jamie here.
I urgently need your help to make a real difference. We’re currently facing a global obesity epidemic, with 42 million children under the age of five either overweight or obeseacross the world. The bottom line is the next generation will live shorter lives than their parents if nothing is done to rectify these alarming stats.
So I’m asking that you do two simple things – first, please sign this petition to show your support for compulsory practical food education in schools across the world, then, most importantly,share it via your social networks.
It’s essential that we arm future generations with the life skills they urgently need in order to lead healthier, happier, more productive lives. I passionately believe this is every child’s human right and I hope you agree.
If you can help me get millions of people to sign this petition, we cancreate a movement powerful enough to force all G20 governments to take action. Food education will make a difference to the lives of the next generations, so please help. I can’t do it without you.

Why the G20?
The G20 comprises of 19 countries plus the European Union. It is the premier forum for it’s members’ international economic cooperation and decision-making. The G20 is an international forum for global cooperation in today’s world. Its response to the global financial crisis is a testament to the impact G20 members can make when working together. With the world now free from immediate economic crisis, the G20 is increasingly shifting its attention to driving practical actions that will lead to sustained global growth.
Obesity is one of the three biggest social burdens created by human beings alongside smoking, and armed violence, war, and terrorism. Obesity costs $2trillion dollars globally each year. The G20 has a vested interest in addressing this burden and the tools to realise the solutions, making it the ideal target for this petition.
