……Today’s stock market action has absolutely NOTHING to do with reality…..All of the Commodity Trading Advisors (CTA’s), in large part, have advised clients to sell premium on the upside (Out-of-the money calls etc.) and as the stock market goes higher, clients portfolio’s get shorter and shorter, and have to cover. ONE GIANT SHORT SQUEEZE!

Again, it, in some part, may have to do with end-of-the month marking/positioning.

It has affected the PM industry for quite some time, as we all know!

But, what makes my blood boil, is that it continues to FIX nothing, and only HIDES the real problems. Trump has to know that the economy is UNFIXABLE! What is he going to do? Capital controls, Defaults, re-valuation of the US dollar somehow???

As investors continue to get sucked into this financial matrix, the inevitable pain will come; it’s just a matter of what form it’s going to take.

My rant is done.

I have noticed over my lifetime that too many people work, that actually don’t really need to work. They already have more money than they can spend in a lifetime. Through inheritance self employment etc.

I think Trump needs to pass a law to stop that, so as to free up jobs for others. It’s similar with police unions. They can retire after twenty years, to free up their job. But then they just start a business or get another job while collecting a pension.

Me? I never thought I would live this long, I didn’t like to work, so I went into self employment, so I could make a weeks pay in two days and take time off doing things I like. Nobody has spent more time with my wife and kids than I did. Just in case I died young.

Not going to look good on their charts either.

I said the above first a long time ago, about Trump running as a republican, because third parties never win. Now finally someone else thinks the same thing.

I noticed a long time ago, employed in manufacturing, that both parties were giving away the store after 1970. Prior to Trump, the last time I voted it was for Ross Perot a third party because he wanted to take the country back in 1992. Hopefully Trump isn’t too late trying to take the USA back. But it is possible that it’s too late.

Make sense of that for me, worse than the gold shares. Never ceases to amaze.

Gold off the lows but still down $26.

Be nice to see silver turn higher.

Now we know why the shares were crushed the last several days, they’ve been telegraphing a move down in the metals. Course, the move looks big, but we’re down a little over 1% in gold and less than 1% in silver. Nothing crazy like Bitcoin being down 15% over the last week but still will likely cause the shares to get smashed back toward HUI 310 again.

End of the month shenanigans I suppose.

Everything else is bouncing, including Bitcoin which is currently up $2200. Pretty feeble bounce by Bitcoin standards. SM, rates, dollar and oil are all bouncing modestly as well.

Eco data this am includes the PCE’s, Durable goods and weekly jobless claims. All of them will miss, showing further weakness now that there’s a new administration.

I’ve lived here 45 years and it never ceases to be awesome to watch massive geology in action!  I live 30 miles from this eruptive summit crater.  I’m on the ‘Lava Flow of 1840’ with lava plate yard art in my back yard.

Yeah I see held up pretty good. I don’t know about the shares though. Side tract with another surgery with my daughter and few other family things. I also got a request to sell my metals from Apmex I haven’t seen since 2011 but then it was eagles 3 over spot I didn’t sell, already traded some for gold before it topped. This time any metals. It don’t seem they’d be asking at these prices or gold anyways less people were buying.

Looks like NVDA had some good earnings. Tech breathes a sigh of relief. Should help the QQQ’s tomorrow. Shouldn’t hurt us either.
