The Birmingham mayor and city council, which is dominated by Muslims, has tried to place restrictions on the English national flags. They don’t want the flags placed on public infrastructure such as lamp posts or highways.
The flags of other countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh and India have no restrictions.
