Loading ...i moved out in the mid eighties and have never regretted it, except with urban sprawl, i’m not sure i went far enough. i am a half hour drive – mostly at interstate highway speeds – from a medium sized city (tallahassee). on the days i need something cities have (airport, libraries, shopping, hospital, etc) i can have it in half an hour. on the days i don’t need that stuff, i don’t have to put up with the crowds, traffic, hassle and crime that comes with it. my county (jefferson) doesn’t have a stoplight. we have a few caution blinkers, but the only intersection big enough to warrant a stoplight has a traffic circle with the courthouse (and magnolia trees) in the center.
