Why don’t they tell us the average pay scale??? I’m certain they are mostly non livable wages. Simply because the minimum wage (or base) is too low, and it holds back all the higher wages too. First of all most things cost 20 times more today than in 1970.
For example, back around 1970 the minimum wages about $2/hr, the under 25 year olds could buy a new car with a three year loan. They could even get married and have a kid or two. So 20 times $2 in $40/hr. which is only $1600/week. or $83,200 per year. So even $40/hr is not adquate.
One time a friend of mine was complaining about the cops pay at $200,000/year. I told him, after taxes thats what they need. Do you want everybody to make less money? He finally understood. Any business that can not afford to pay $40/hr should go out of business. And make less competition for similar businesses.
Another friend had a store with 65 employees, at $7/hr at that time. Him and his wife said thats all they were worth, non productive. However they managed to buy 25 houses. If they paid more, maybe they would only own 15 houses to leave behind. So they COULD have paid a lot more.
In fact the only reason they had a business was because the pay was so low.
LOW WAGES CREATES LOTS OF USLESS JOBS, LOL. Plus less tax receipts.
