given that silver finished down and gold finished well off the highs and the dollar and rates were up slightly. Volume was better than avg. but from what I can tell, mostly in the shares that finished higher. There were exceptions, but for example, AG finished down on less than avg. volume, I find that to be interesting, especially on an earnings day. SLV finished down but couldn’t muster avg. volume. However, GLD, GDX, NEM, GFI all up with better than average volume.
Yesterday the HUI outperformed the QQQ’s by 5X, today it outperformed by 7X.
Jobs report tomorrow may matter or may not – definitely not a sure thing that we’ll get sold though.
IMHO, we’re getting close to pay dirt. I guess it could be a big head fake, but I also notice that Bitcoin is down almost $5K and rates and the dollar have turned south in the after hours while the SM futures continue to go south.
