Germany and the EU

Posted by Don Michael @ 5:53 on August 25, 2026

Thank you for your interest.

Germany is now the biggest EU member and big enough to go alone.

They are also very attached to Russia who are asset rich – gas etc. It would make sense for them to work together.

Something to keep n eye on – not that mainstream media will say anything about it.

The UK did not join the Euro which was smart but selling half the UK gold reserve was folly.

When I was at school I learnt that the biggest wins.

The Globalists long ago captured the EU commission and most European countries, particularly Germany…to me the AfD are a product of Germany waking up , their policies are entirely logical and sane …….but and this is a huge but….Germany bankrolled the EU and in particular the Euro.

So if Germany were to even say they were thinking of leaving the Euro, the entire project would start to collapse, in short the EU and the Euro is Germany…Then we get into the nitty gritty. All the sovereign bonds issued by the other members, which the markets price as if having a German guarantee. Then we have the ECB’s own bonds, which it was never meant to be allowed to issue , a demand the Bundesbank demanded, as a price for joining the Euro…and don’t even mention the Target 2 system, a cats cradle of financial insanity, supposedly underwritten by Germany, which has allowed dead beat borrowers to carry right on, spending like eighth armed sailors on shore leave. All of this and way, way more is at risk….just as rates harden globally.

The EU always was built on quicksand, a humongous folly, that was always going to collapse at some point…and now as people realise life is shiite, getting worse and for many getting really bad, they are at last realising the EU and all the blathering ‘effwit proponents, at it’s heart, are the source of their woes, they are turning to parties that realise the problem and offer solutions…..and all the idiots that created the horror can do, is shout stop …. right wing racist.

PS the above unwinding is one huge reason, they need to start WW III, with Russia…that is how mad they really are.

Not sure Captain Hook would approve

OceanaGold to Buy Ausgold for $549M, Adding Katanning Gold Project

OceanaGold agreed to acquire Ausgold for $549 million, adding the Katanning Gold Project in Western Australia. Ausgold shareholders will mainly receive OceanaGold shares, with a cash option capped at $137 million; closing is expected in December 2026.

Katanning is projected to produce more than 100,000 ounces of gold annually for an initial 10-year mine life, with first production targeted for 2029. OceanaGold plans further development work through 2027, a technical report and final investment decision in 2028, and says permitting and early works are progressing.

The deal expands OceanaGold’s growth pipeline and exploration footprint, including more than 3,000 square kilometers of underexplored land. The company said it has $655 million in cash and no debt, and expects the acquisition to proceed without delaying its Waihi North development or Macraes mine-life extension efforts

“Give me control over a nation’s currency, and I care not who makes its laws. Mayer Amschel Rothschild (1743–1812)”

You have to control your own currency to be considered a sovereign nation. And your borders. And migration. Looks like she’s onto something here. Le Pen will be next. Hopefully Reform and Remove can sort out some differences to make sure that Britain is in the frame too.

Weidel threatens to leave Euro land

Posted by Don Michael @ 17:17 on August 24, 2026

My understanding is that in October 1990, when East and West Germany came back together one condition was that they join the Euro currency.

At that time the Deutsche mark was very strong and was being used in countries like Yugoslavia where the currency was unstable,

The gold holdings of Germany/France etc were kept outside the Euro and still are not being shared.

Germany, France and Italy have large gold holdings.

Germany holds 3,350 tonnes of gold, which is valued at about €440 billion US, much of it still stored in the USA.

So if Germany did now leave leave Euroland the Deutsche mark would again be the strongest currency and possibly be used in other currencies.

Quite a serious problem, I thought it might pop up one day.

If you know more please let me know. (Or correct me)

So the reset will be painful?

“To give you an idea of the scale of this bubble; if the stock market were to crash back to long-term averages, it would be equivalent to a $300,000 loss per U.S. household.”

“Put simply: you cannot re-engineer human behavior to accommodate an IPO roadmap – even as OpenAI reportedly lays the groundwork for a public offering with valuations floated as high as $1 trillion.”

The real point being that, according to the article in my previous post, the IPO needs to be valued at a trillion to raise enough funds to pay for existing commitments coming due in the next couple of years.

There’ve been a couple of comparisons to canal and railway expansion bubbles – but these bubbles were hugely expansionary for the economies involved, leading to much more trade and frequently much lower prices, to the extent that significant deflation occurred.

This will stir things up…..Weidel threatens to leave Euro !!!!!!

I’ve never realized where the amount of money expected from the AI cos would come from. An awful lot of money is being invested there with no certainty of a big return. Perhaps these AI cos will only be finally profitable if they are used to surveil and suck the means of living from all the serfs inhabiting the western world.

Otherwise their collapse will usher in a worse crash than the 30’s. Buckle up!

Cheers

This article compares the 2008 property debt collapse, when all the loans reset after the teaser period, to the AI financing boom. The AI financial collapse will occur next year when the debt falls due and the revenues aren’t there. Just as with the property CDOs, all the information for the AI company collapses is there in plain sight, using the AI companies’ own, published, data.

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/teaser-period-why-ai-boom-hitting-reset-wall

Time for an updated “The Big Short”. The article doesn’t refer to Burry as being one of those who did realise what was about to happen, that the system could not survive the reset of all the two and three year mortgages from the teaser rates for NINJA borrowers.

“That is exactly what the Credit Suisse chart said in 2007. It was right, and it was ignored, and it was ignored for a reason that will be entirely familiar: at the moment it was published, every loan on it was still performing.

They also point out that with the AI companies being 40% of the SM, that’s 40% of most people’s retirement funds …..

Yeah, silver above $70 might create some problems in the pits for someone. They have a weak SM as cover for some selling and truth be told, we just haven’t seen the market pile in yet. In a way I think that might be good, let them pile in at higher prices. I mentioned silver is still below the 200 day, I’m hoping that when it breaks there’s a major explosion in our little sector.

Still pretty impressive with the QQQ’s down and silver down, no matter how you slice it. What a difference from a few weeks ago.
