BREAKING: The UK has discovered that the Royal Navy’s new spy drone fleet planned for the Strait of Hormuz and multiple Gulf spy missions against Iran have been secretly transmitting data from the drone’s primary camera to China since March, per The Telegraph.

The £12M K3 Scout multirole uncrewed surface vessel (drone boat) fleet built by Kraken Technology had cameras with Chinese-made components transmitting “heartbeat communications” to an IP address in China, with cameras remaining active even when the drones were switched off.

The compromised cameras were also near highly sensitive meetings between senior UK special forces staff, and preparations for Britain’s Gulf plans against Iran had been conducted on the compromised drones.

The same K3 Scout model has also been purchased by US Special Operations Command.

Brigades of North Korean female workers are arriving in Russia.

They are being employed on assembly lines, in garment factories and kitchens, and on farms, with promised wages starting at 480 rubles ($6) per hour.

Human rights activists earlier reported that, from recruitment through their daily lives in Russia, workers from the DPRK are under the tight control of the North Korean government. The DPRK authorities confiscate their documents, restrict their movement and communication, and withhold a portion of their earnings.

Barrick Mining (B) said Monday it reached an agreement with Newmont (NEM) on their Nevada joint venture, in which Barrick’s Fourmile and ​Newmont’s Fiberline and Mike projects will contribute to the JV, resolving ​all outstanding disputes between the partners and allowing Barrick to list its North American assets in New York.

Newmont (NEM) also will make a one-time payment to Barrick (B) of $1.95B, reflecting the additional value of the Fourmile asset, which Barrick has said could produce up to 750K oz/year of gold.

The two mining giants, which already partner on the Nevada Gold Mines venture, had been locked in a dispute as Newmont (NEM) tried to block Barrick’s (B) plans for a separate listing of its North American assets, including the JV.

Nevada Gold Mines provides around half of Barrick’s (B) gold production and profits, but the U.S.-based assets are more highly prized by investors than the company’s mines in Africa.

“Newmont has consented to the IPO and the parties have agreed to expand NGM with the earlyvend-in of our excluded properties, as well as settling all disputes,” said Barrick (B) President and CEO Mark Hill, who will also become CEO of the new company upon separation.

All I can see is that the experts were totally wrong. Now, where have we observed that before in the last six years …….

Oil was down a buck but now flat. Rates up a bip.

PM’s have made some gains from a couple hours ago, silver is leading, up $.75, gold up $12. PM shares firm in the first trades of the day.

Nothing to write home about just yet, but not giving it back either.

Still a ways to go before the Crimex and SM open in the US.

ferret – I agree with that, although both those countries may smell blood in the water in Iran and could be looking at resources. Who knows really, it’s hard to know what the truth is over there – for me anyway.

But a couple of missiles lobbed at the Saudis doesn’t warrant a full scale invasion. Atm Iran seems to be holding all the cards, they don’t need to involve MbS and stasis suits them fine messing up western economies and getting everyone to hate America for trying the FAFO route.

Silver is doing well.

The premise was that if Iran were to lob missiles at the Saudi’s, then Turkey and Pakistan would take on Iran. They could do it.
