Quite subconciously. A Pfizer rep. giving a doctor a pen will do it. The doctor will deny that he feels any debt to Pfizer for something as cheap as a pen, just as they would claim that a five day conference at a Trump golf course wouldn’t affect their buying decisions either. So to think that $400,000,000 from Miriam Adelson wouldn’t buy some influence is ridiculous. Trump is definitely compromised.
Which isn’t to say that the war is wrong. As others have commented Iran exports/funds terrorism in several areas. They have been working on nuclear capabilities for decades. They continually rant Death to Israel, Death to the Great Satan, we will obliterate Zion from the face of the earth etc. etc. They are undoubtably an evil regime who intend to kill a lot of people in their overall intent to establish their ‘religious’ authority over everyone. The regime is not a dictatorship, it is an organisation, thousands of people working to the same aim, supported by millions. Not a Saddam, or Ghaddafi, more of a Stalin where Islam has the same zeal as communism. Plenty of other candidates for the top job if the incumbent is killed. And that’s what will make the ending of the war difficult, because what do you do with all the supporters of the regime? After all, it was installed nearly fifty years ago by a popular uprising; as I’ve said, it’s not one man and his bunch of thugs imposing his rule. There are millions of supporters who are used to wielding authority and have access to arms, and tens of millions who don’t. A successful popular uprising is not a foregone conclusion here. The endgame is very difficult to foresee.
