Depends where the missile went in. If it went in at the stern and exploded inside, then a quick patch up job would suffice. Nobody seems to have got any close-ups of anywhere. A laundry fire? That burnt for 30 hours? On a warship? These things are designed to fight fires anytime, anywhere. They are designed to cope with being hit and yet a laundry fire puts it out of action for a year? First Cyprus and now in Croatia, this still ‘mission ready’ lump of scrap is far from the action. Maybe Cyprus was too close where it was still in range of Iran.

What’s more embarrassing, being hit by a missile during combat, actually, during the first time it has seen combat (or maybe, if it was blown up by a missile up the exhaust port it never actually saw combat!) or put out of action by a laundry fire? What is so imflammable in a laundry anyway? I thought they were full of water.

I see that Kuwait has boldly destroyed another Iranian missile in a port in Dubai, using a fully laden oil tanker.

I’m at the point where all of this, the war in Iran, etc. is intended to bring the world economies to their knees and usher in the one world gov’t. and their CBDC’s. I don’t see how the US avoids it either.

RE Linux……been running Linux Mint for 20 years ….down load a copy onto a thumb drive , then u can try it out without installing, by loading it from Boot….find out which F Key yr computer uses to Boot….then turn on yr puter while holding down the relevant F Key….and u will get the choice to Boot from the USB……It will run a bit slow, but u can see all that it has…which is everything u can dream of.

If you like it either choose to dual boot where you split the hard drive, thus keeping Windows, or do an install where it wipes the disk clean and u only have Linux……

U will find yr old computer flies…..there a great forums which will answer all yr questions if u have any…… I will help if I can

That’s an interesting statement. Not so much that we are unreliable as a defense partner – we should get out of NATO, but that he thinks he’ll be in conflict with Russia in the next few years. Why? I want to change to linux on my few years old desktop.
Any suggestions on which version to install? And/or websites for help?
I am moderately tech experienced.
Don’t play the hard-core animated games, so that performance is not important.
Just browse, watch videos, read documents, occasional zoom meetings, etc.
Windows, hard-drive, etc. can be completely wiped – haven’t had it long, so nothing of mine really saved on it. Any reason to leave Windows and insyall linux side by side?
