I saw live wires in action years ago in LA  and know why they call them live wires although can be different they do make a buzzing sound too. I heard then saw the wind knock one down and it started crawling around like a snake and went in the water couple of times lighting up the water that blinded another one watching he said  then crawled out and like a snake slithered like a snake bite position curled at the bottom and the top part bent over and like it was looking this way and that like it was looking around and stopped looked at me and at that point I was thinking it’s  alive or controlled by something  lol I though uh oh it was long enough to reach me but then went back down on the ground and slithered over a fence heading to a apt buildings towards laundry room and yelled hope no one’s in there in there get out!! It went inside and boom a explosion and the whole place was on fire. I ran over to make sure everyone was out. Two just barely made it and the living room and past that  already in flames,

Funny how more often than not, the big moves come the day after the report is compiled on Tuesday’s.

I believe the big moves in both silver and gold came on Wednesday of last week. Hard to know what impact that move will have on next weeks COT.

Would have liked to seen more covering in silver from the banks, but gold looked pretty good for a start. Hope to see a lot more of that.

*The large specs increased their long positions by 2,275 contracts and reduced their shorts by 2,741 contracts.

*The commercials reduced their longs by 794 contracts and decreased their shorts by 254 contracts.

*The small specs reduced their longs by 3,341 contracts and increased their shorts by 1,135 contracts.

Gold

*The large specs decreased their long positions by 6,738 contracts and increased their shorts by 12,452 contracts.

*The commercials increased their longs by 1,584 contracts and reduced their shorts by 19,310 contracts.

*The small specs increased their longs by 975 contracts and increased their shorts by 2,379 contracts.

Silver boring. Good to see shift in gold, but it occurred before gold’s rally.

Even though the changes in silver appear inconsequential – the fact the commercials were so restrained post this reporting period indicated they are not willing to go short now (even though traders think “deflation” is dead ahead, which is why they are shorting gold and silver).

Notice silver has gone from ~ $22 to ~$24 with no appreciable increase in open interest.
