I’m sure this was done but like Mike Tyson said “Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face!

“He’s been wanting Ukraine for a while”

I think more so he wanted Ukraine to be neutral to be non NATO and free of NATO missiles. Now it’s going to be a gigantic Tar Baby for him.
