the weather has been trending better than ever. Summers are cooler and winters are warmer. We look forward to snow. There is no smell in the air, breezes are from the south west off the Atlantic Ocean about two miles south of me.
We have Fire Island a barrier island with beautiful sand dunes beaches with docking on the Great South Bay side or you can motor across the bay and Beach your small boat at hemlock cove, Gilgo beach cove, cedar beac cove. Then walk about 700 feet across fire island to secluded ocean beaches.
No time now I can talk for hours how it’s the best place to live where i am. There is traffic at times on the eastern end the north forks, pumpkin picking and wineries the Hamptons etc.
Bad info about this place is good, we don’t need anymore people coming here. I think the south shore real estate is very under valued. Property taxes are high but worth it. They make people leave and fool or convince themselves with excuses why they did the right thing. The only bad smell was years ago in a rural area if you drove by or live by a big land fill in Yapank north of sunrise hwy.
