Buygold @ 17:41 re your “the biggest fiat money printing experiment in world history”

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 21:30 on May 19, 2020

“and gold is under $1750? Silver is under $17.50?? ”

Comment: I’m looking at it like the experiment (from real money 1913 to fake money afterward) has resulted in too many too often various instability problems, and angry people around the world turning to local populism. Globalization failing.

Re your  “Our turn now” may take a decade, and it may also take re-educating two generations of people conditioned to believe that fiat currencies have value. If pm’s ever really get going it will be the result of wealthy people and central banks that understand the monetary system.

Comment: We might be witnessing wealthy people and central banks, that understand the monetary system, buying Gold on the dips, and maybe just buying at the market, because they know the old experiment has run its course.

To me? I’ve been saying all along, they are in “panic mode” pumping jaw boning the economy since Trump got elected. They had their “everything bubble” going, it was getting toppy, and then this big suspicious, “nobody’s fault” “news event” popped up, and crashed the economy ahead of time. “Get rid it, scrap it, it ain’t working, get it over with so we can restart a new one” and nobody gets the blame.

So now, Re trillions being created and given away like circulars in our mail boxes, its looking to me like they are thinking, “Hell, we have nothing to lose, and why not take advantage of a fiat Dollar while it’s still working, before the natural coming close end of the experiment.

They are obviously fighting against a deflation, or why would they give money away? Gold does not need inflation to succeed. I’m glad I don’t have their job.

Powell said he doesn’t want Fed policy to replace the markets……..
Remarkable that he had to say such a thing, that the Fed has become so interfering in markets that the comment was necessary…
Promote Max employment, promote Stable Prices, promote Moderate long term rates. The THREE mandates….
and they have dove tailed out to QEing in good times, REPO in billions to assuage speculative needs, and rate cuts in good times BELOW the inflation level.
What were those THREE mandates again? Hold the Fed to their mandates…and LIMIT them to same.

Mr. Copper – It may be “Our turn now”

Posted by Buygold @ 17:41 on May 19, 2020

but as you well know, this will be a battle. Here we are, in probably the biggest fiat money printing experiment in world history and gold is under $1750? Silver is under $17.50?? Granted, it’s better than it has been for the last 8 years or so, even with the USD strong, but hardly where it should be given the circumstances.

“Our turn now” may take a decade, and it may also take re-educating two generations of people conditioned to believe that fiat currencies have value. If pm’s ever really get going it will be the result of wealthy people and central banks that understand the monetary system. By the time the masses understand, it will be too late for them. Unfortunately, the wealthy, the Gov’ts. and the Central Banks are the greatest beneficiaries of fiat currencies, so why would they give up that power willingly? They won’t.

We are a long way from them “losing control”.

US Dollar on 72 2007: https://www.mrci.com/pdf/dx.pdf

US Dollar 100 2020: https://www.mrci.com/pdf/dx.pdf

Gold $800 2007: https://www.mrci.com/pdf/gc.pdf

Gold $1750 2020: https://www.mrci.com/pdf/gc.pdf

Bottom Line: Gold is climbing WITH the headwind Dopey/Dollar climbing. One of the TWO, is lying. Take your choice. You could say BOTH are important and BOTH are in demand. Maybe some people around the world are afraid to buy Gold, and go for Dollars. Its ok to have both.

@Buygold re TPTB Lost Control Over Gold Price

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 15:43 on May 19, 2020

Gold is ROARING AWAY if you figure in a US Dollar Index at 100. Its normally historically in the 80 area, on occasion when they were helping the US Economy they had it at 72.

If the Dopey/Dollar was at 72? Gold would be double what it is today.

Ipso-I’d like to think MUX will play catch up, they are doing better than I expected today. Hopefully they get back above $1 before they do something really stupid like reverse split.

Mr. Copper- can’t assume yet that they’ve lost control, the moves aren’t big enough. When they’ve lost it, the moves will be triple digits. We’re not even close yet.

They are not dumb. They are really clever (not smart because they get f’d in the end as well).

They must live in their fake narratives lest they get tripped up all the time.

It’s hard enough to keep the story-line straight…especially if they talk to somebody who is not a lying sh*t bag (like them), who has the audacity to talk reality to them.

They don’t like reality being two-year olds maturity wise.

This is when they will do physical harm to you — like a two year old.

Well, maybe I’m being a little hard on them.

They are more like four-year olds generally.

Biden is regressing towards two rapidly however.

@Buygold re your “It appears we may have staved off attack #2” and “maybe they’re slowly running out of ammo or having to cover.”

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 13:37 on May 19, 2020

My view? Why don’t we just assume they are losing control, and the past is history. The savers and producers and gold bugs always got screwed. Reverse?  The savers and producers and gold bugs will be well rewarded. They deserve it.

We also have a reversal in the new type President. Totally different president non similar since 1913. We had a hundred useless counter productive, anti American crappy presidents since 1913. (except JFK)

They all did nothing. I’m glad I never voted for any of them. Only JFK and Ross Perot I supported. Reagan everybody like ’81-’89 but he did nothing for the country. No power, off shoring picked up speed, he was powerless.

And, who cares about that stupid Wall? Over in Germany 3,000 miles away.  They “wheeled” the poor guy over there for show.

I am stunned by how dumb the Dems are…..why can’t Trump take HCQ…in fact when I think about it, if it is so bad then they should be buying him as much as they can and feeding it to him through a funnel, until he croaks.

OTOH, the USD was down big yesterday and gold was down so maybe this is a make-up day.

Why Silver Miners SSR, Coeur, First Majestic, and Pan American Jumped 10% or More on Friday

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 11:02 on May 19, 2020

part:

As an example, SSR Mining was once known as Silver Standard Resources. It changed its name when gold became more important to its top and bottom lines than silver. The yellow metal now makes up roughly 80% of the company’s production, with silver largely accounting for the remainder.

SSR isn’t alone. Rounding a bit, Coeur generates around 70% of its revenue from gold, with silver at just under 30% (other metals make up a few percentage points). In 2010 silver was roughly 70% of the tally, so the metals have basically switched places in terms of importance to the top and bottom lines. Pan American Silver, despite its name, is no different, with the larger portion of its revenue coming from gold today. The lone standouts are First Majestic Silver, which gets roughly 60% of revenue from silver with the rest from gold, and Silvercorp Metals. However, Silvercorp just announced plans to buy a miner primarily focused on gold to increase its exposure to that metal, so it’s clearly decided to go the way of Coeur, SSR, and Pan American.

That said, compared to most primary gold producers, SSR, Coeur, and Pan American still generate a material amount of silver. First Majestic, without question, has a larger exposure to silver. And at least for now, Silvercorp is still largely a silver miner. To provide some contrast here, precious metals giants……

Gold survived the early onslaught, I’m sure there’ll be at least one more, but the shares didn’t blink.

Ipso, we’ll see how it goes. Rare occasion when I get something cheap. I figure if it drops back I’ll just buy some more.

I certainly have enough MUX to swap out…
