Selenium appears to aid in upkeep with the immune system that can work to inhibit viruses but inhibit doesn’t stop them. We’re exposed to viruses everyday of some sorts. Virologist are finding more virus at random. They were surprise to find some large viruses as before they were assumed to be no bigger than a certain size which could be easier identified from germs. Corona is a large virus but not like the ones their finding although not deadly so far as I know.
Actually some virus aside from not being harmful to us, aid the host and in turn virus finds a home.
More funding should come their way. They have more understanding of things like polio than they did in the crude past for instance. They have different shapes and forms can capsules. Corona is lipid which makes washing with soap and water better than Alcohol because the soap breaks down the lipid.
Still the immune system has its fall backs. Persay if the cytokine action causes inflammation it can then depending where compromise the protective layers of a cell allowing a virus getting in. Sometimes that barrier can be between the cells of like the respiratory system and the bloodstream then goes systemic. Not to mention direct harm to cells in others.
More attention is needed in watching and disabling the immune system in a cytokine storm.

Electron microscopes have photographed it.  Virologists have been disassembling virus particles DNA & RNA for years… and ‘patching’ them.  It’s not a theory.  It is hard, replicable SCIENCE.  Einstein was right when he postulated that the only unlimited quantity in the universe is stupidity.

Here’s something to fear, besides ignorance:  After the Wuhan outbreak an independent virology lab in India sequenced the DNA in the new virus to get a look at it.  They found a basic SARS virus with some evidence of ‘patches’ or snippets of HIV sequences included.  This is not something that happens naturally ‘in the wild’.  Fortunately the Indian lab report was publicly reported before it was filed away to be ‘peer reviewed’.

Back in 2017 in a comment on an article in a Virology Journal, a chinese researcher at Wuhan institute bragged how he had inserted parts of HIV into a SARS virus to give it increased ability to attach to ACE2 receptors in the lungs.   This is an exact description of what the Indian lab found in examining the virus.

This was an ‘engineered’ virus, and it came out of Wuhan.

Now if you were the leader of a country, and you knew this and had no idea how virulent this plague might become, what would YOU do to protect your people?   Hard choices.  We are all victims of the world’s first Biowarfare… intentional or not.  World War B .
