Milwaukee ‘cold train’

I’m sure that would work for mammal pests, but I’m not so sure about birds. I think they cannot ‘taste’ the hot stuff. We grow hot Hawaiian Chili Peppers here, and when they turn red, it is not long before the birds go for them. They are loaded with vitamin C that the birds instinctively go for…. and the pepper heat doesn’t bother them at all.
Aguila, yep that must be it. I took a grandchild to Mac Donald’s today and actually was the cheapest place to get just hamburger patties by itself. They cut workers I saw only had one window at the drive through instead of paying at one picking up at next. I made her chicken rice and vitamins here and there she loved but she enjoyed going out and getting her own food. Her back legs been going out for awhile so could not longer go out.
Her last episode the other day was so bad trying to go out side and could get out herself but couldn’t get back in then found her in distress and getting a heat stroke and was just warm but had a jet black coat that could heat up fast except the front. Major distress. She was suffering terribly.Breathing hard and labored and fast. Had to physically get her in fast as I could. Dealt with that and getting fluids drip by drip in her due to her breathing with a tiny bit of salt in the water while cooling her. She needed oxygen so fanned her non stop. After she couldn’t get up just laid there after that. I couldn’t bear seeing her suffer again like that or perhaps dying that way. It’s been one medical after another had blood in her urine about a month ago she was treated with tests and medicine for but it was quality of life but I kept on as long as she would. The last episode told me I was being cruel if I let her suffer like this. The doctor said it sometimes takes a bad episode like that to come to terms of letting them go. But even then you don’t want to. Next life I’ll have to become a vet.
I’m glad your getting more but I’m done.
Amals, thanks
You can emphasize with someone’s pain losing a pet and can see things in better perspective from the outside less you had one. But when it’s yours it’s hard to see that perspective.
If it was anything like the feeling I had I don’t know how you could do it again other than your giving another a good life cuz there’s a lot of bad out there. 17 years minus months is a long time but no consolation it seems.
Sorry you lost your pal. The first time I had to do it was the saddest thing I ever did. The second time wasn’t much better. Seventeen years, though– that’s a long life. Cherish the memory.
Hamburger patties !! so that’s why mcDonalds stock is down. Sorry to hear of your loss, and never say never. You need a cat for rodent control and a dog to back up your 9mm so hopefully before long another canine will find you. We are without a dog for 3 years now. Time to bring one in but not a puppy.
Thanks Maya and Ipso. She’ll be my last. If I can’t get out do things with them anymore or have two so they can keep each other company not fair to them. She’s been camping, to the beach, parks, day care, she loved getting hamburger patties at fast food get excited in the line. A lot of doctors appts. too as they’re prone to allergies.
“Hot Pepper Wax” Thanks I’ll have to check that out.
Where do you think our market is? A bit of a low coming? Most shares have been doing no great shakes considering the POG.
I have to net the snap peas and broccoli already but have never had to net the radishes before.
That’s what I get for feeding the birds. Ungrateful wretches! 🙂
Yes I saw your pineapple. Your climate is great for stuff like that! You’ll have to give us a review when you munch it down.
Very sorry to hear about your dog. I’ve been their a few times and it’s always terrible. I just try to remember all the good times.
If there’s a Heaven worth going to then all our dogs are there too.
ipso
All you need for the radish problem is “Hot Pepper Wax” Its food grade and can also be used indoors. Perfectly safe and unless the critters want a burning mouth/throat they will stay away. A concentrate jug will probably last you for many years….cheap too.

Goldi- Condolences on your loss. I had to do that once in my younger years with a loved dog, too. Now I’ve got a bird bonded to me that I don’t want to think about losing.
Ipso- BIRD NETS over your radishes! I keep a feeder in the backyard away from the garden ares, too. I trust you saw my white pineaple growing. 🙂
If they didn’t shut it down except the vulnerable it probably would of peaked already and went away like the flu. Dragging it out is just guaranteeing more vulnerable will get it either by others or getting out to go to the store.
This isn’t anything like Spanish Flu which killed mostly young heathy people and some children. I wonder about some of the children because people didn’t know then not to give aspirin to children up to 19 with the flu because it causes Reye’s syndrome.
I had to put my dog down yesterday and one of the hardest decisions I ever made. She was my best gal friend always by my side. A pitty aka that never killed a cat a dog or a kid. A clown sometimes who Wags a place for dogs to play with activities all knew her clownish or rambunctious pranks like pushing a trainer in their dog pool. I have a new toy sitting here she didn’t even get. I have left is some of her fur and they gave me a paw print mold box where I can put in her picture. 2003 to 2020

Make that two boring, unimportant COT reports in a row.

I guess this OpEx day should have been expected in the shares especially.
Everything that was almost overbought – and I mean ALMOST – because they clearly weren’t overbought, RSI’s were below 70, are now no longer overbought.
Scum flexed their muscles today and showed us who is boss.
Sure would be nice to vanquish this virus without Bill Gates and vaccines being involved!
Now If I could figure out how to stop the birds from munching on my radishes …
And nobody says a word about it. The Fed even admits it on TV. “We are mandated to maintain price stability and full employment”? Even with full employment, *(3.5%?) if the tax paying workers are living paycheck to paycheck, it is not fair to call it full employment.
If we have 10% unemployment, but the employed tax payers are earning 100% MORE than they need? Double? So happy they don’t care about paying taxes? So happy they don’t care about the 10% on welfare?
That figures into a real unemployment rate of 125%. Like the old “real” interest rates they used to talk about. Like 6% interest at the bank, on a CD, with 4% inflation, you get a “real” 2% interest rate, but pay taxes on the 6%. All this crap will fix itself. Wait until the happy gleeful people who locked in a 3.5% mortgage, and their house drops 10% a year. They’ll be losing 6.5% a year on top of insurance and maintenance. Negative equity.
I’ve seen a similar thing happen here, 1972 to 1982.A $40 k house in 1972 was still $40k in 1982. As rates went 6% to 18%. And heating oil went .18 cents to $1.30, gasoline same thing. Dow? Same thing. 1972 to 1982 it could NOT stay above 1000, the “Graveyard in the sky above 1000″ Jim Dines called it. In June 1982 he recommended the Dow at 796,in June ’82. A very good call.
This is what a dollar could buy through the years” Link won’t work on internet explorer.
didn’t…also the dollar hasn’t rallied back…been down .310 pert nealr all session…On days like today there is seldom a last 1/2 hr bounce…G&S usually close on or near their lows…if so I will be obligated to buy SOMETHING before the close…DYOD JMO…
O, yeah, almost forgot…we’ll never see the price of gold this low again in our lives…
Nurses aware of it, it was being used in Japan prior. Glad it’s having good results. People are more resilient, creative, independent than sone of these politicians.
Remdesivir anti-viral trial reports ‘rapid recoveries’ for severe hospitalised coronavirus patients with ‘nearly all’ discharged within a week and only two deaths out of 125
Many people are getting excited assuming this will be a V-Bottom and here we go. Just because Trump is pushing to get the economy going, the damage inflicted by the socialists cheered by their press is far more serious than anyone dares to even contemplate. I realize that Trump has stated that the market will make new highs and the economy will come back stronger than ever. Sorry to say, while we will see new highs in the US share market, that is not right now and it will NOT be on the back of a new robust economic boom. It will be because Europe is absolutely imploding.
The Head of France, Macron, has come out and warned that the “EU will fail without financial transfers” which is a direct assault against the Netherlands and Germany. He has further warned that otherwise, the Union remains a purely economic project and cannot be a political player. Macron realizes that Europe cannot survive. The ploy to try to keep debts in check and austerity will not work and he is demanding the excess money of the Netherlands and Germany be sent to other states as welfare checks. But then what? The system is unsustainable and even if the Netherlands and Germany agreed, their surpluses will quickly prove to be futile. Capital will flee Europe for there remains a risk that they will impose capital controls. That capital will flee to US equities as confidence in government debts suddenly declines dramatically.

Resistance remains at the 24700 level on a closing basis for this week. There remains a risk that this week can still produce a temporary high.

We get busloads of tourists eating at the local restaurants down here that stop on their way to Yellowstone.
I guess that won’t be the case this year though.

Kind of like the way pm’s are holding up as the SM fades a little.
they pretty much already have it. last time i was there (summer of ’18) you couldn’t turn around without tripping on three or four asians with cameras.
