Papua New Guinea snatches Barrick Gold’s Porgera mine
Papua New Guinea is set to take control of Barrick Gold’s (TSX: ABX) (NYSE: GOLD) Porgera mine after refusing to extend the company’s lease on environmental and social grounds, Prime Minister James Marape said on Friday.
“In the best interests of the state, especially in lieu of the environmental damages, claims and resettlements issues, the Special Mining Lease will not be renewed,” Marape said.

why would anyone who has seen jnugs wasting away structure buy it from a higher level with LESS leverage than it had before .? Only the shorts would do that because it helps keep the gold price down….its a wasting asset ! $81 $ for that ? It absorbs more money to waste away from that level .aids the shorts …

The NY FED desk has been alarmed at the persistance of buying in the PM sector–and it wasn’t happy to see the buying so far….so they fired up the algos and sold down the early surge…now it’s time to buy em back…or izzit?

Thanks I hadn’t seen that study. Still hope for HCQ yet. I’m sure the PTB would rather people be forced to be innoculated with unsafe, ineffective and expensive vaccines instead.
