Well, the predictive wizards at NWS got it right, but it was a nail biter right to the end. Honolulu and Maui did indeed escape the bullet. I cannot say the same for my big island of East Hawaii. It’s weird because we were the area farthest from the storm. But it keeps sucking up moisture from the southeast and hitting our mountains.
I had 15 inches of rain again in the past 24 hours. East Hawaii had more rain than the rest of the islands combined, and IT IS STILL RAINING with Flood Warnings posted in my area still…. Warnings, not ‘watch’! Hilo area has exceeded 40 inches. Low areas near the river are still deeply ponded.
does anyone know the procedures in arizona for filling senate vacancies? commonly, the state governor appoints a replacement, but a few states have other arrangements.
doug ducey the governor is a republican, and in his last campaign got endorsements from ted cruz and mike lee. a businessman with a background in finance, a pleasant exception from politicians being lawyers.
any guesses on when we can expect a replacement? kavanaugh’s confirmation is coming up. it would be nice if there were a solidly conservative republican sitting in mccain’s seat when the vote is taken.
Hoping that nasty infection doesn’t rear it’s ugly head again.
She came back a couple of weeks ago but was back in the hospital within a couple of days with C-Diff. After another week in the hospital she came back and is making progress.
I’m hoping we’re in the clear, but we’ll see. Maya – thanks for the potential treatment.
Mass Layoffs At Wells Fargo As A Result Of Slumping Housing Market
Whether due to the collapse of its “reputable” public image following a relentless barrage of client scandals, the Fed’s recent historic crackdown on the company due to its culture of fraud, or simply because the US housing market has sharply rolled over, last quarter we showed that Wells Fargo reported the worst set of mortgage numbers since the financial crisis, with both Mortgage Applications…
… and Mortgage Originations tumbling to levels not seen in a decade.
And since for Wells Fargo, the one-time largest mortgage lender in the US until it was overtaken by Quicken Loans, the housing business has always been its bread and butter, we asked how long the bank would be able to last without engaging in mass, across the board, layoffs.
No More Cancer: A Complete Guide to Preventing, Treating, and Overcoming Cancer By Gary Null PHd.
One word strikes more fear into a person’s mind than any other: CANCER. The physical, mental, emotional, and financial toll that comes with a cancer diagnosis is immense and affects not only cancer patients but also families and entire communities. This year alone approximately 600,000 Americans will lose their lives to cancer, and the forecast shows no signs of improving. Recent estimates tell us that 41 percent of all Americans will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetimes and 21 percent of the population will lose their lives to this devastating disease. Cancer has evolved into a national crisis that touches each and every one of us. The vast majority of individuals who lose the battle against cancer are treated with the standard orthodox therapy. These people may never have questioned their oncologists, believing that they were in the best possible hands with their physicians’ advanced education, knowledge of latest treatments, and all the tools of modern research at their disposal.
In this groundbreaking book, Gary Null debunks the commonly accepted belief that drugs and chemotherapy are the only cures for cancer and explores the alternative treatments that most mainstream doctors will never discuss with their patients. Dr. Null asserts that there are foods and supplements that boost the body’s immune system and can actually prevent and reverse cancer. Did you know that eating lemons and melons can help balance your body’s pH, which will help prevent and treat cancer? You knew that fiber is important for a healthy diet, but did you know that it lowers the risk of breast, colorectal, uterine, and prostate cancers? Have you heard of maitake mushrooms, which kill cancer cells by enhancing the activity of T-helper cells? In addition to diet, Dr. Null discusses important supplements and herbs and cutting-edge therapies you may never have heard of. With twenty-five cancer-fighting recipes and testimonials from individuals who have found health through Dr. Null’s methods, this book could save your life.
has an article on reducing Sepsis mortality by 87% by the IV application of Vitamin C, Hydrocortisone, and Thiamine (vitamin B1). While your wife is past the danger zone now, this is something to keep in mind if a relapse occurs.
At home, you can do no harm to insure she gets enough B-vitamins and several grams of vitamin C daily. I like the ‘buffered’ vitamin C, calcium ascorbate, as it minimizes stomach upset and provides some calcium. I take 3 grams a day, spread out. More if I’m sick.
I can’t find the whole copy at the moment but the Dr. made a claim that more than 80% of the synthetic Vitamin C is made in China. I see many taking these Vitamin C supplements and I doubt most vitamin manufacturers even know where their C comes from. I’ll If the see the whole documentary post it.
I lost an aunt to sepsis , almost forty years ago . She had never had children , but had about a dozen nephews and nieces . For some reason , she had the hospital contact me when she went in , even though most of the others were closer geographically .She left a very small estate , but left most of it to provide for my daughter’s education . With it , my daughter paid for her first year’s living expenses in college , and became a degreed nurse . She has used her skills to make life better for many children as an ICU nurse and later as a flight nurse for almost twenty years . Now she is in hospital administration and is getting an advanced degree as she nears retirement age .
Once your wife can start to heal , and the healing accelerates , many other functions can return. Your kindness and love will help immensely .
A few years ago there was a series of books written about the experiences of a British country veterinarian . In one of them he tells of an old farmer who had him come to put down a cow that was in extreme pain and dying . He injected the cow with a lethal dose of a strong sedative to put it out of misery . A few days later he ran into the old farmer who told him the cow had slept for two or three days , and was back on her feet . The rest and freedom from pain had allowed the animal’s defenses to recover and restored a path to health .
Part: He decided that a CIA career would be a good match for his “wanderlust” and his desire for public service.[5] During his application to the CIA he admitted in a lie-detector test that he had voted for the U.S. Communist Party candidate for president, Gus Hall, in 1976.
The megacolon rupture is what just about killed my wife a couple of months ago.
After the colon ruptures like that the sepsis takes hold and is what kills most people, why my wife survived is really beyond me. While she was in the ICU, there was a woman who was 20 years younger who came into ICU after becoming septic and died two days later.
My wife has been home for a week after a 2 1/2 month stay in the hospital. Still very weak, with another surgery to follow probably in the next six months or so. I’m not sure mentally she’ll ever be quite the same, although in some ways that’s not necessarily a bad thing, as the way she treated her brain and body before getting sick was why she got sick in the first place.
Yeah we really haven’t had a discussion about his being censored by the CIA apparatus also known as Google, Facebook, Apple and Twitter.
Funny how the US Gov’t finds the most easily corruptible scum to run those companies.
I’m not a huge Jones fan, he says a lot of interesting stuff, but the overhype gets to be a bit much for me and there are certain groups he will not criticize – I suppose in fear of being pulled off the air by their radio station monopoly. Similar to Rush Limbaugh I guess, but Rush simply sticks to the left/right paradigm so he avoids controversy.
The bottom line for me is that censorship of any kind should not be allowed, whether a company is private or not. It’s one thing that I’d actually like to see legislated against big tech.
Trump’s ascendency has really exposed the deep state and exposed the fact that the US is run by corporations and lobbyists, along with some pretty serious psychopathic war mongers. He’s also exposed just how little power a President really has.
Breitbart thinks big tech can influence 12 million voters. Hopefully their all just on the left coast and Northeast where all the libtards reside so it won’t matter anyway.
In fact, I have a hurricane rain amplifier here in the form of tall mountains. Tropical storm clouds build up and pile up against the mountain slopes and rain, and rain, and rain, and…
This is what the east Hawaii radar looks like… and has looked like for the past 6 hours. That yellow blotch has not moved. Flood warning push alerts on cellphones here now. Crackle-Boomers, too.
Upper level wind shear took the top off Lane and it collapsed… not a moment too soon. Islands downgraded to tropical storm warnings, and Honolulu is still going to have a bad hair day, but the storm is downgraded to ‘tropical storm’ status below hurricane, and expected to drift westward away from the islands.
But when you take the top off a hurricane, it still drops all the water. It is STILL raining in East Hawaii.
