“Couldn’t duplicate the drill results”
A problem with nuggety ore. Novo should just start a massive bulk sample instead of wasting money on ineffective drilling. I agree with Moriarty on this one.
Yemen! I can think of better places to be a miner! Watch out for missile loaded drones and trigger happy Saudi pilots.
I have several junior miner shares which are now worth a cent or two on the dollar. I don’t know why I keep them around. Forlorn hope I guess.

he just staked some claims around ATAC claims. My bet with Cantex was his JV with VALE and Vale couldn’t duplicate his results. It didn’t help that the project was in Yemen. Cantex used large diameter drills and even though the numbers looked good they didn’t agree with Vales more thorough evalution. Basically it was the same type of problem with NOVO using large diameter drills.

Not such a good thing when your CEO is more interested in his horses than the projects you’ve invested in! I’m not really familiar with Fipke, He doesn’t seem to be part of Atac’s management.
With many of the juniors fighting for their existence it’s incredibly distressing to see Co. officers using the mining companies as their own piggy banks.
Having said that … looks like Cantex has drilled some nice looking base metal holes.

He’s been drilling on his Rackla claims (ATAC) this summer and posted some results.

He’s into his race horses more than finding any new discoveries. My one time million plus shares in Cantex has turned into less than 6000. after years of reverse splits. Anything in that area is 20 years out.

for some reason gold has been rising for many months BEFORE FED statements and monthly jobs reports…but no lasting rally resulted…

have u noticed for the past 6-8 weeks that during the day gold rarely prints green…and if it does, it stays green only for 5 or 10 minutes?

The ADP report is predicting 219K jobs for tomorrow–I wonder if the # comes in under that–like 150–would that spark a pop in gold…other than a 6 or 8 buck bounce that would last for 5 minutes? Funny, ain’t it, how wall st has “tailored” dialogue to the effect that this level of new jobs is a “solid” number…there used to be 250K-350K job #’s in previous expansions.

Sorry- I had to leave and was gone until very late , so did not get back online until today .
Yes , that is a valid concern . They could dump large quantities , and shock the prices even lower to cover their underwater futures contracts . We live in a manipulated world .
As Mark Twain once said (paraphrased) ” If you don’t read the news , you are uninformed – if you do read the news , you are misinformed .” That statement is more true today than ever .

Already sold it after it hit a target. Might buy it back later. Have to see what’s going on now first and the market in general.

Mary’s father had four kids. Jacob, Joshua and James. What was the fourth kids name. A lib answered there are thousands of names, how would I know the answer. She was told it didn’t start with a J and asked again.

Yep, sounds like she’s scheming with like minded people who want to over throw our Gov. She appears to be identity race focused. That appears about all she knows and thinks the country has a endless supply of money. Ironically even Obama didn’t endorce her. Dearborn has about been taken over.

Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody’s Analytics, said, “The job market is booming, impacted by the deficit-financed tax cuts and increases in government spending. Tariffs have yet to materially impact jobs, but the multinational companies shed jobs last month, signaling the threat.”

“Throw down” is attack, open fire, aggressive behavior. Those of us in Oklahoma say “bring it”.

TORONTO, Aug 1 (Reuters) – Kinross Gold Corp said on Wednesday it was “pausing” expansion work at its Tasiast gold mine in Mauritania after a government request for talks to improve the country’s economic benefits from the miner’s activities.
Kinross was asked to enter “mutually beneficial” discussions in May, in a letter from the government that also affirmed its earlier rejection of a permit to advance a Kinross exploration project.
The Canadian miner said it was studying alternative options to boost capacity at its mill and continued to engage with the African country’s government to clarify the issue.
The second phase expansion was intended to add 30,000 tonnes per day of processing capacity to the project. Kinross said it had completed construction of the first phase expansion, boosting mill throughput to 12,000 tonnes per day from 8,000 tonnes.

Yes, very true and that’s the only reason why I’ve held losing positions for the last 7 years.
Problem is this could easily go on for another 7
Just don’t know where else to put my money, afraid to put it in overblown tech or anything else in the SM
What a shitty position to be in.

BG, trust me when I say I feel your pain. It has been brutal being involved in this sector for 25 years.
There is an expression that goes something like this – “before the Bear market ends, the last Bull has to give up”
I stay in because the only thing that will be worse than the last 25 years will be giving up, and then watching the price take off.

(CNN) — A group of angry Chinese parents and activists have gathered twice in two days outside government buildings in Beijing to protest a recent scandal over defective vaccines, a rare display of public dissatisfaction in the tightly-policed Chinese capital.
The government announced in mid-July they would take disciplinary action over more than 600,000 diphtheria and tetanus (DPT) vaccines, an unknown number of which may have been administrated to children, sparking massive public anger.
Holding signs saying “Vaccine?” and calling for legislation to ensure tighter drug safety standards, more than two dozen protestors gathered outside the offices of the National Health Commission on Monday and the National State Drug Administration on Tuesday.
“Please fulfill the leaders’ instructions. Please give vaccine victims a fair chance,” their signs read.

New York congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announced Sunday to a crowd of Muslims in Michigan that she’d like to “roll deep” into Congress with a “posse” of Muslims and “throw down,” whatever that means …
She made the remarks while speaking alongside terrorist sympathizers Linda Sarsour and Abdul El-Sayed, a Michigan gubernatorial candidate, at a “My Muslim Vote” rally in Dearborn.

If the scum breaks that 160-165 area that has held up for years, I’m out of all my share positions.
They break that and we are headed back to 100, God knows how ugly gold and silver will look.
What a depressing way to live watching this crap.
