These Are Interesting And Sobering Statistics

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 18:34 on June 29, 2018

Read the last item and then look at Trump’s Cabinet.  No wonder Washington, DC is in a turmoil.  Trump’s picks are bosses who expect their employees to work.  The following are Eye Opening Numbers.  What bothers a lot of people about Trump, is he won’t accept a ‘can’t do’ attitude, or inexperienced, incompetent performance.  He will get results; it just might not be smooth or pretty.

Here are some amazing stats:  Make sure you read to the bottom.  An eye opener!

1.. These 10 States now have more people on welfare than they have employed!
California
New Mexico
Mississippi
Alabama
Illinois
Kentucky
Ohio
New York
Maine, and
South Carolina

2.. Last month, the Senate Budget Committee reports that in fiscal year 2012, between food stamps, housing support, child care, Medicaid and other benefits, the average U.S. household below the poverty line received $168.00 a day in government support.

What’s the problem with that much support?  Well, the median household income in America is just over $50,000, which averages out to $137.13 a day.
To put it another way, being on welfare now pays the equivalent of $30.00 an hour for 40 hour week, while the average job pays $24.00 an hour.

3 Check the last set of statistics!!  The percentage of each past president’s cabinet who had worked in the private business sector prior to their appointment to the cabinet.  You know what the private business sector is: A real-life business not a government job.

Here are the percentages:

38% T. Roosevelt
40% Taft
52% Wilson
49% Harding
48% Coolidge
42% Hoover
50% F. D. Roosevelt
50% Truman
57% Eisenhower
30% Kennedy
47% Johnson
53% Nixon
42% Ford
32% Carter
56% Reagan
51% GH Bush
39% Clinton
55% GW Bush
8% Obama
90% Trump

This helps explain the bias, if not the incompetence, of the last administration: ONLY 8% of them had ever worked in private business!  That’s right!  Only eight percent – the least, by far of the last 19 presidents! And these people tried to tell our corporations how to run their businesses?

How could Obama, president of a major nation and society, the one with the most successful economic system in world history, stand and talk about business when he had never worked for one?  Or about jobs when he has never really had one? The same for 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers?  They’ve spent most of their time in academia, government, and/or non-profit jobs or as “community organizers.”

Mr. Copper – be wary of ALO

I bought (years ago) thinking the previous name Timmins Gold indicated holdings in the area around Timmins , Ontario . Not so! – most of their properties seem to be in Mexico – particularly Guerrero in the South of Mexico , a dangerous area , I am told .

Just be careful of that one .

Thanks so much for the well wishes!

Coming home won’t be happening anytime soon, small steps and if she does recover, at least a year of rehab ahead.

Being septic like she is takes a huge toll on your body, especially when you’re older. She’s 60 and wasn’t in great shape to begin with – having been sick on and off for the past several years.

I’ve gotten a great deal of support from friends and family and of course from friends here at the Oasis.

Thank you so much!

@All, FYI Take a look at ALO Alio Gold $1.47

It was once $35, and its got a P.E. of 6.58. If gold climbs it may be a good bet with some Vegas money.

re Dec 2016 low, I called it in Dec 2015 also. There was also a low point in Dec 2017, but TPTB ran the Dollar up in 2018 (to help Europe et al) and put a correction on gold. Europe is “feeling better” so now they can drop the Dollar.

There are ZERO natural market forces, except when the distorted price gets so far out of reality it FORCES a natural reaction.  Will there be a low in Dec 2018??? TPTB I have to assume are non US global, and they push the dollar up by pushing the other currencies lower with news. And lower bond rates.

The US Economy can not prosper with a strong dollar. This country’s living standards have fallen for decades with a too high Dollar and a standard base wage not allowed to rise along with cost of living increases.

Centerra mine’s future up in the air as Kyrgyzstan to review deal

Fresh doubt has been cast over a deal reached last year between Centerra Gold (TSX:CG) (OTCMKTS: CAGDF) and the Kyrgyz Republic ending long-dragged disputes, after a government speaker confirmed Friday the parliament will review the settlement in September.

According to radio Azattyk, the upcoming revision of the strategic agreement may lead to increased environmental payments for the company.

The news comes two weeks after MINING.com reported the country’s new Prime Minister, Muhammadkaliy Abylgaziev, was reconsidering the agreement signed by his predecessor, adding his administration planned to submit to parliament its own proposals regarding the document.

It also follows recent charges of corruption against former Prime Minister Sapar Isakov, who signed the deal with Centerra last year — a development local media said it could jeopardize the legitimacy of the pact.

My wife is day to day. If you asked me yesterday, I would’ve said she wasn’t going to make it. Today she has made some positive progress. I have no idea what tomorrow will bring.

The biggest thing of course is she’s fighting infection, so of course they are loading her with different antibiotics to see what works best.

Thanks for asking.

Something to think about.

My memory is fractional right now due to long hrs and multitasking but you reminded me of something I kept forgetting to mention. Got sidetracked on the porch when a giant lizard crossed my path. I’ve never seen them in the wild here that big. Anyways I remember a special needs boy who was getting these cysts all the time. He was on formula that has oils. Usuallly they give water too but on his case no water was ordered. So I suggested that they add it to hos formula. Ever since then and it’s been about 5 years now he has never had another one. I’m guessing there’s no tests on drinking enough water and these cysts but in his case it helped. He wasn’t on a regular diet though.

deer79 – hard to see the manipulation be much worse than it is now. The action in gold is comical considering the action in the USD

Ipso – yeah pretty nice bounce in the shares considering the action in the metals, I haven’t looked at volume yet

Mr. Copper – I do seem to remember your call from Dec. 2016 gold bottom. Maybe you’ll be right about the USD as well – hopefully.

It really is amazing. I imagine that it’s not very hard to tweak the algorithms to create ever changing resistance/stop loss lines in the sand. It’s always been my contention that as the economy/financial health continue to deteriorate, the level of manipulation will increase as well.

Wow, is $1250 resistance now? Unbelievable
