The Union Pacific ‘City of San Francisco’ in it’s heyday. The train was so popular that it ran in two sections. This is the coach half. The sleeper Pullmans follow on the next train.

A bullish perspective but there’s also a bearish some TA perimeters By Thirdeye
Wanka drained the swamp single handed even before Trump came along. Going after crooked businesses wanting a monopoly sharing the money with the city to get the city to do their bidding to harass Wanka including a DA determined to grind his Duck Tours in the ground with illegal tactics, changing rules, arresting him, and harassment. In the end even the new mayor faced with the public destain of their crooked dealings distanced and making amends himself by saying ” The Duck Stops here.” These people were so arrogant they think they were entitled to monopolize. People didn’t like that tourist train that started it anyways because it went so slow it obstructed traffic. Actually it was worse than that. That DA should of been fired for using the law for racketeering.
Glad you are still around. The only other fellow Californian.
I imagine that was the case–with sentiment washed out—in 1979 when gold bottomed at $250…
