“$16 AISC”

That’s pretty darn high. AG not making much money from that mine at this time.

I sure hope that Mexico can tame it’s greed when silver and gold go higher. Pretty tough to have big exposure in the gold and silver mining shares without owning some companies with operations in Mexico. If I remember correctly Mexico just raised it mining royalty taxes recently.

Cheers

union trouble this summer with a 42 day work stoppage.   Neumeyer has 2.5 mil oz of silver production at La Encantada this year but the AISC is $16 on the high end.

AG is my biggest silver position.  Mexico is going to be a big problem and its probably why McEwen and GORO chose to spend more money in Nevada and Canada than down south.  If silver ever does hit $50 it will probably impossible to deal with the Mexican unions.

@The Global Community, Ask Not What The USA Can Do For Your Country, But Ask What Your Country Can Do For America.

Isn’t it about time, all these hanger on countries start fending for themselves? And or contribute to the USA for a change?

Israel would like to see the US more deeply involved in the Syrian War.

Rising Rents, Stagnant Wages, And the Burden of Unstable Housing

parts:

“While homelessness may not be viewed as a looming issue on the horizon for those who are financially stable, or otherwise have secure and stable housing—it’s not as distant as some might think. With rents rising faster than wages, the burden of affording rent is looming larger and larger for many Americans, and in some cases becoming insurmountable.”

With such large percentages of household incomes going towards rent, saving for the future is less of a priority—and possibility. More than half (51 percent) of Americans say they don’t have enough money saved to support themselves for 3 months, according to a Zillow analysis of the Federal Reserve Board’s”

Comment:

I remember way back when I used to punch a clock at the factory, and thinking…..If wages don’t go up in unison with cost of living expenses, it would be COUNTER PRODUCTIVE, and wondering why the gov’t would let that happen.

Later on I realized, the “gov’t” was run by big corporations. They constantly want cheap materials and labor to make profit. (gov’t defense expenses too) Keep in mind all base metals prices are also behind the curve. I used to buy sheets of metal cheaper than sheets of plywood, and plywood grows on trees. Metal is mixed in with rocks and dirt. Expensive to harvest and heavy expensive to deliver.

From the Howard marks interview

Have you seen anything that would make you change your view on the existence of cycles? Some people say that cycles are a thing of the past because of monetary policy.
They say that all the time. Just before the global financial crisis, they were talking about the Great Moderation. Here’s a quote from Tim Geithners autobiography: «Economists were starting to debate whether that long stretch of stability constituted a new normal, a great moderation, a quasi-permanent situation of resilience to shocks. There was growing confidence that derivatives and other financial innovations designed to hedge and distribute risk, along with the monetary policy, to respond to downturns and the use of technology to smooth out inventory cycles meant that big crises were a thing of the past.» We know how that all ended.

So what’s the most important lesson from that?
I think our ability to cope with these things is not complete. And as long as people are involved in the process, and given their tendency to take everything to the excess in the upward or the downward direction, there never will be permanent moderation. I have quotes from the Nineties about how we never will have recessions again, I have quotes from the Twenties about the fact that we are in an era of permanent prosperity. It’s all wishful thinking. The interesting thing here is: This discussion that current conditions are permanent always increases at high market levels. And when people encourage others to be optimistic, it’s always at high levels. But the people you want to follow in this world are the ones that encourage optimism at low valuation levels; those who say «cool it,» when prices go higher and higher.

Your probably closer with your first assessment but only a guess about OCD but maybe trauma related OCD when you can’t get something out of your head that causes anxiety. As you can see it can cause others anxiety with their obsession so therapy for all affected No Frosty shows for awhile. Pass the posts because your going to get anxiety then fed up which will cause anger. Frosty should have no twin towers exposure but I’m guessing that would be a challenge.

She was on the other side and you can hear the shots while people in that side clueless what was going on. When she drove around you can clearly see the shots fired from a lower floor. This is not what we’re getting from media or they’d be interviewing her.
